There is something I don't understand about this whole tamashii web exclusive thing. How come figuarts are more expensive on Japanese websites than they are on international websites? Usually it's the other way around. Also there is this really confusing matter with a rerelease of figuarts zero goku. While you can see its up for preorder on many international websites and even on the bluefin page, it is nowhere to be found on Japanese websites or even the tamashii web store page for that matter. Does anyone have an explanation for this? everything is more expensive in japan, have you not seen how much DVDS cost? the Complete Dragonbox was like $1000, they pay $40 for CDs/dvds with single-4 songs/episodes on them! (highschool of the Dead OVA was $60, its 20 min long. the american release was like $10 and people still complained it was high) their citizens must be rich

This perfectly explains the goku rerelease. So tamashii web exclusives are not actually exclusives in the US and they get a regular release, but being exclusive in Japan makes them more expensive. Thanks M5 and king!

Keychain Twin Machine Compilation, 2005 by Banpresto. Thanks man. I want him but they are going for waaay too high at the moment. The Kuji Goku is looking good! I'd like to see a size comparison. Thank you. I can't prep him up against anything since all of my other figures ( which are just a handful btw) are still boxed up. I'll still try to get something decent to compare his size with. This perfectly explains the goku rerelease. So tamashii web exclusives are not actually exclusives in the US and they get a regular release, but being exclusive in Japan makes them more expensive. Thanks M5 and king! Yep. Po' scalpers!

Sometimes the US markets gets Tamashii exclusives as regular release but not always. For example, look at ALL of the stuff Tamashii has released such as Saint Seiya stuff.. no US regular release. Most stuff you see sold in the US market has an increased price tag. Very few stuff gets an standard price compared to the Tamashii website.

A quick question - is the black variant (Double Chance) of the Oozaru from the '08 Kuji canon?? Canon in respect to the story line? No I don't think any of the actual saiyans have black fur when they transform if that's what you're asking. I believe there are a few shots of oozaru's in the dark that are heavily shadowed, don't think it's ever Goku though. Pretty sure the 1 of 20 was just intended as a bad ass looking limited variant.

The Oozaru from the one of the Ichiban Kuji in 08, is based on this Gohan transformation scene in the Saiyan saga while training with Piccolo. Anime Manga

Although it's clearly sculpted after the scene with gohan, it states that it's Goku on the flyers and box M5. It's not a stretch, they look nearly identical. I personally like to pretend mine is Gohan, no matter what banpresto intended it to be.

Seiya has no market in the USA though like Dragonball Megaman and godzilla I agree. Using my 4 days at Bluefin's booth at A-kon as refence, the Saint Seiya stuff didn't sell well. Neither did Kamen Rider. Godzilla sold well, DBZ sold well, Sailor Moon sold well, and Megaman sort of sold, just like Mario sort of sold. People who bought Mario tended to buy both accessory packs as well, and I suggested to them to buy an extra accessory pack that includes the blocks, as just having one package of them doesn't seem like enough. And... now I'm off-topic.
