I'm just now getting into customs, so this is where I'll post some of my work. The first piece is stupid simple, just a BK piccolo painted with some cheap Wal-Mart paint. I'm waiting for my clear sealant to come in before I straighten up the lines. I like it though, especially since it's my first "custom"

Not bad for a first attempt. You can only get better from here

Thanks a lot Here's another pic on his stand. I didn't take it as close-up so you can't see all the paint errors

Thanks, I definitely will I got some pieces coming in tomorrow for some more, and better paint. Next I'm going to make either 3 Turles or 2 Turles and a Bardock, I'm not sure yet.

For a 1st, it's actually quite well done. A little more green to even out the eyes would make it look even better. A lot of the straightening of lines will come with an increase in experience and preference. Do not stop.

I think you need to buy the smallest brushes you can find. I get mine from Walmart or Hobby Lobby in packages of like 5 for about $6.

I got the smallest brushes they had, I just might have used too much paint I also had quite a few layers from trying to straighten lines without a sealant.

I think I mentioned something similar to this in PM, but if you paint the red on his arms first, and then do the yellow, you'll have an easy time turning them into red lines. That's how I do the white lines on armor and the red and yellow lines/laces on Goku boots. It looks like you did the red on top of the yellow which is the hard way. Until you get a steady hand, using a toothpick to do the eye pupils is what I would recommend. I sometimes still use a toothpick, but it can create the bug eyed look that my Irwin Future Trunks in armor repaint originally had. You can actually cheat if you want to as well. You can paint the white part of the eyes, wait a day, put Model Masters Flat Clear Acryl and then use a Uni-ball pen or similar and just put a dot of ink with the pen and try to never touch it ever again LOL. I wouldn't use permanent marker because it bleeds and will eventually turn purple, and by eventually, I mean pretty quickly. I use a uni-ball pen for touch up sometimes along the edges of hair on faces and eyebrows. It blends well with black acrylic paint. It does run/smear if you put Model Masters Clear over it though.

Yeah I did paint the red lines first, but I couldn't seal them Then I painted the yellow and it messed up the red a little, so I touched up the red, and si on and so on. That's why I decided to leave the lines alone til I get the clear acryl

Even with sealant on, you can still paint over it. Jusy FYI

Yeah, but it'd be easier to wipe off right?

You have to use a wet brush and do it quickly to wipe it off.
