I'm happy that we are finally getting regular goku! I have a few considerations:
- Manga colours again? Sdcc 2015 will be this same goku, with darker gi colours...
- this gi won't match krillins
- i'm glad they kept this knee joint. It is much discreet than krillins robotic joint
I'm glad they didnt include those kanji on his back and chest so we have an android and majin boo saga goku. If someone want the kanji to match battle of gods movie, i think it would work to print a kanji and put on the figure.
- we need at least two action faces. One as displayed on the first prototype ans another one looking forward
- i also want a face with these serious eyes but with a confident smile.

Umm... correct me if I'm wrong here but isn't SDCC in June? Regular Goku is slated for a March release date, so I highly doubt he'll be the next SDCC exclusive. I think Tamashii finally took the hint and dispensed with the Manga coloured releases long ago. The past four or so figures have all had anime colours, so I strongly doubt they'd fall back into that rut. Way I see it, the exclusive special paint variants was a way of rectifying the line so we had an anime colour release of all figures. Goku will get a single release in anime colours. 18 might see a release prior to SDCC and 17 may be the con exclusive, that or Nappa. Historically they haven't given us a SDCC figure we haven't already seen.

its not the point, i was pissed at them kinda jerking us around with goku, only to not change a damn thing since his initial appearance like 5 years ago when we first saw a glimpse of manga gohan, and ss3 goku. I was being sarcastic, like if they screwed us so much (it already kinda feels like a slap in the face) it would seem like them to jerk us off more and give us once again a barely modified figure and pass it off as something new or exclusive. That being said I do not believe in the slightest he will be the exclusive, if there is one. just ranting.

Yes, pointless ramblings indeed. What's that old proverb, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Goku is clearly the most popular character from the series. So it would be safe to assume that we will definately be seeing a few more releases before we're done with it. Who cares if he isn't a different body sculpt, does he really need one? I for one don't think so. I would love to see a Frieza saga Goku personally, and there's a good chance we'll see one in the future. From Tamashii's stand point it is cost effective and anything Goku related is a sure seller, so what would you do?

Those are different. SS Goku only had the fists, the open palm spirit bomb hands, the kamehameha hands, and instant transmission hand. He didn't come with the hands in the far right pic of Goku above, or the waving hand on the top right pic.
Edit: On the pic above, under the release date, is that the price in yen? If he costs 3990 yen when released, that would be around $40 here, right? If so, I'm way more on board with this release even if it's not a Saiyan Saga Goku, I just didn't want to pay $50+ at initial release.
