Best images I've seen so far...this is a must see. Figuarts Goku Review (I'm pretty sure this review has been posted so I'll leave it as a separate link)Seeing this is a bit disappointing.  I liked the peach color on the SS Goku as it seemed to match his anime interpretation better...BUT...the new skin the normal form has matches perfectly with the Figuarts elbow joint...and I can't say for sure but I have a feeling the SS3 head would look perfect on the normal form body since the SS3 faces have somewhat yellow skin behind the shaded areas. I think I like it. didn't think this was worth a new post. I'm about to say I like the new skin more. I was doing some random browsing this morning and stumbled across a thread on Kanzenshuu where a member posted edited images from the anime that featured characters with their manga colors. I was prepared to get this Goku...  and this is what they put out, a manga color Goku.  of course if the skin is as inconsistent as SK says it is...well...eh...guess I should wait and see for myself. |

Man, what the hell is up with the lighting for that side by side shot? SSJ Figuart Goku is not that dark.

timone317 Exactly. Every Figuart is sculpted by the same people, assembled and packaged in the same factory and sent out to retailers by the same people. The only change that is made is applying which sticker the box will go to. Gold for the Japanese and Silver for International. actually there are more than one machine that produces the figures. If you collect saint seiya figures you will remember the answer from bandai regarding an issue that comes with some of the surplice gemini saga cloth myth figure. There are variations from each machine. If they apply these differences using different sticker, we still dont know for sure |

SupremeKai man...perfect. Quick request, could you take the neck/head from a SS3 Goku and put it on the normal body? Matter of fact...can you also pop the manga SS Goku head on to the body? I'd like to see how different the skin tones are.

I don't know Tim, I thought about it and I really don't want to risk damaging either figure, or significantly loosening the joints. Honestly, the skin colours are crazy different. I seriously doubt that it would look good anyway, as SS3 Goku's skin is far too yellow and regular Goku's skin is more pinkish in hue.

How about this...can you get a face from the manga SS Goku and hold it next to the regular Goku head? (the reply came before I could even type this out. not worth a new comment) once again, no big deal as I already have my answer. Re-posting this for reference, I was able to find a review for SS3 Goku and the image quality was consistent with the images in the normal Goku review. I combined everything and figured it wouldn't hurt to post the results.  And the swap...  ugh. I was really hoping I could avoid repainting the SS3 Goku face but I guess I have no choice. |
