The shu figure is from here, a bandai line that was sold in france in the 80s. but no info is available, i would love to know which other characters are available and to get some more info about it  Bran how would you suggest to paint his nose and ears? I'm not familiar with that set, at least mib, I've seen the Goku loose before but thought it was a painted keshi. I know the temptation is going to be to spot repair Shuu and have him done in seconds instead of hours, but I think you're best off repainting all of the purple and then redoing the black details. We discussed it a little bit in pm, but check my sticky topic in the custom section for other painting supply tips. Bran thank you for the all the help, i will check the topic. i will do spot repair, i dont want to repaint the entire figure i will probably ruin it if i did and i do want to keep it as much as i can in its original state. My biggest concern is how to get the purple paint to match the original paint |

I don't think you'll be able to match the purple as it is an unusual, dark, dull color, plus it is glossy. Acrylic paint is hard to find in dull colors and difficult to mix into a dull color. it may seem silly, but if you want the color to match, you may have to take the figure to a hardware store, have themscan the figure in the paint department, and they can mix you a sample that matches for $3 to $10... and then you'll have enough to paint your front door Shuu purple lol
I don't think you'll have luck finding a $1 bottle of acrylic craft paint in that same color, and buying multiple colors to mix to try to make it that dull shade will likely be a pain in the butt.
with the 20+ delta ceramcoat paints I have, I can't make dull colors because the paint has too much pigment in every color to dull each other.
under normal circumstances, mixing the complementary color ( yellow) should dull the purple, but I end up with a vibrant brown color.

Thanks guys. I got it from an eBay seller for $24.99 plus $6.99 shipping. And then I noticed a few days later it was on Amazon for $24.99 and free shipping over $25. I wish I'd seen it earlier, but oh well. It goes well with the 18 Pichi Gal figure.
