Yeah, clear peg up the butthole = legit on those. The bootlegs look pretty nice though. We're waiting on Adrenaline to receive the ones he won so we can see if they rule or suck. |

The gold version is the easiest to spot as a bootleg because it wasn't painted like that. It was more of a bronze color.

Good choice. This! I'd searched for this VCD like hell and Ebay prices were not helping at all. HLJ saved me a lot of heartache.  When did you get it burdocksan? Does it match up to the expectations?  If you are talking about this, then yes. You'll be happy you got it. Some people hold their opinion that vinyl figures remain static and hence lose their charm over time as compared to articulated ones but for some reason, I love vinyls more. And this one is simply marvelous. I remember the first time I saw it and I have no reservations in saiyin' this - I was bowled over by the cuteness factor this figure had. Medicom has completely nailed the sculpt even down to the single strands of hair. Even my mum exclaimed, "That Goku is so cute". I mean of all the collectibles I have, she recognised Goku and that's a compliment in itself  BTW, I'd got him a long time back. Almost 2 years I guess. He was sold out everywhere (didn't know about YAJ back then) and I saw it on backorder at HLJ. The kind folks there assured me to place an order and almost a month and a half of waiting, when I'd given up hopes completely, they shipped him!  |

I bought the golden bootleg Oozaru, since there was a gold one shows up in anime, in GT, which I don't remember the story. It's smaller than I expected. It's not the first banpresto bootleg came with the box got toei sticker. The orange stand with a black stick is totally useless for me. May be I can figure out how to get use of it in other way. What a story man! Yes this is the one I was talking about. It is indeed a marvelous piece. I wish I could be lucky one day to find it with a decent price. Haha! I can't even describe the uneasiness I was experiencing during that long wait. I used to email HLJ like crazy and yet they would patiently reply with '"We'll keep you informed" template. I even had started contemplating to get him off Evilbay. I'd used my colleague's credit card for the purchase and one fine day, he walks in at work and says that his card has got charged for purchase at HLJ. Spent the entire day reminiscing the way I got him  I haven't opened the box till date!   |
