The convenience of being able to buy the figures state side, not wait on over seas shipping and see the actual item before you purchase them is enough to justify the price IMO. I've purchased several items online and been disappointed when I saw what they looked like in reality.

$15 for a Kyun-chara??? they'r drunk or high They'll promote these as specialty items, and make more money off them by exploiting casual buyers' ignorance. When released in the US, the target consumer is casual fans of the series, not collectors such as ourselves. To be honest, plenty of collectors go on and on about the difference between buying higher priced figures in the US (which is readily available and has free shipping), and buying the lower priced ones from Japan... but they opt to get it via EMS. Yes, the figure is generally cheaper to get it from Japan, but if you're ancy to get it and only get it shipped via EMS, what the frak is the difference? You're basically spending the same amount either way, give or take about five bucks. This is why I usually just wait until they hit Amazon. I don't really see a difference in price, unless you choose to get it shipped via economy.

1985 or 1986 Epoch Goku doll, trying to find information about the figure, it cost me 20,000 yens back in 2012, I just want more info on it I haven't find anything on it online, I tried even in Japanese, and nothing, I know is rare, but can anybody help! I will appreciate! Very nice vintage piece! I see those are referred to as something along the lines of 'Standard Soft Vinyl', and this Goku was part of a very early series of 30cm dolls along with this Bulma. rasisa0822.jq.shopserve.jp/SHOP/TO1928.html Epoch had another similar series to this of 15cm dolls produced in 1986 called Minisofubi, they have different style packing along with accessories and a cardboard backround and there are several characters made.
