How to use Amiami
amiami.com/
Amiami sells both new and used products, usually there will be only 1 of any given used product and when it sells the listing is removed entirely and immediately,
1. Make an account, I don't think i need to show you how.
2. Begin searching. Unlike Mandarake, you only search in english characters rather than Japanese and/or english
3. On the search section on Amiami you will have a big list, everything at the end of this list will be sold out items that still are visible
3b. 90% of the time when an item sells out it will no longer be visible on the site, the other 10% is items that get restocked frequently
4. AmiAmi is ONE STORE, so go nuts and put whatever you like in your cart
4b.once an order is made you CANNOT cancel it, if you do cancel it, you have the potential to be banned. Like Mandarake, AmiAmi is very strict, especially with newer members.
5. once done go to your cart and "Log in and proceed"
5b. with each item it gives you the option of how you want to ship it be it with this current item or with another purchase (personally i make monthly)
5c. in order to make a monthly purchase you need to preorder an item that is released near the end of the month, usually i just get a cheap Pencil board
6. Click Continue
7. You need to choose your shipping method:
SAL: cheap but slow (no customs charges) (choose registered if you want insurance)
EMS: fast but expensive
Domestic: DO NOT USE, ONLY FOR JAPANESE RESIDENTS
Air: Fast but not fastest
8. I would suggest paying with Paypal but you can also use a credit card. click next
9. Confirm you order
10. From there it will take your order and you will need to wait 1-4 days for them to send you an invoice with your total shipping. Once you pay it, you are done.
10b. you have 7 days to pay from receiving your invoice, during this period you can still add items to it but once paid the deed is done and it cant be changed
To Canada, it usually takes 2-4 weeks SAL but EMS can be as little as 3 days.
To get an estimate of what your shipping would be use this www.amiami.com/top/page/t/faq2.html
SAL and EMS do not usually have shipping charges (import tax) (my belief into why is because the courier is usually too lazy to convert YEN into $) but both are still eligible for them, so dont be surprised if you get one (how much varies on country and price you paid before shipping, i usually get charged 10-15%)
you need to make sure the item you are ordering isnt too big or heavy or else Amiami will force you to use EMS or a Special Version of SAL
EMS is actually only about 1000-2000Y more expensive than SAL if you are ordering alot of stuff (5 items or more i find) this is because there are actually two types of SAL and they choose whichever one they can use based on your order so its usually worth it
