That head lol, but I'll admit, the body is great. That's because the base they used was perfect. They didn't have to do much to it if you click on the figurerealm link. Now, it just needs the boot tips to be yellow and the tail brown.
EDIT: WAIT A MINUTE....he says it took him 100 hours...that's ridiculous! He sculpted the boots, gloves, tail, and head. Scraped off the veins and did some joint tightening that he says took him forever. 100 hours, psh, that looks more like a 20-25 hour job.

posted that as soon as I woke up...now that I see it with a critical eye it's only slightly interesting. I guess I was just seeing how good the base is.

I wouldn't mind having it as I need a BD Nappa. I would just add a lot of scrapes, repaint some parts, and put a new head on him.

I mean, if you repaint the boot tips, tail, replace the head, and add some scuffs, it could look seriously awesome. The thin chest doesn't bother me too much. As it stands, I'd give it a 7 at best. Why are people on figurerealm so easily impressed? Does DBF have higher standards? Or is it me?

I don't know, I think everyone on Figurerealm just likes to be nice. I don't think I've hardly ever seen any criticism on there.

Back in the day, I thought Figurerealm was for the 'experts.' Though I see there is some real talent there, the DB customs lack perfection.

timone317 wanted to see the Zangief that Nappa was made out of next to a figuarts figure, so I'll post the pic here too if anyone else is interested in using the figure as a base.

Just as I thought...in the right hands that could be something worth having...but I just read the Zangief figure is very loose and it seems it's currently going for $200 on eBay.

Zangief's actually one of the only ones from the last couple of series that didn't break on me. E. Honda's leg fell off, R. Mika's torso separated from her legs, and Dan's hand pegs broke off inside of his arms.  |
