Time for Double Post #2 on this thread!

My Jakks Trunks & (spare) King Cold showed up this morning! I made sure to check them out and inspect them super carefully! The pictures that were on eBay did NOT do them justice, as nice as the preview pics were. They look even nicer in person. I'm really happy with both of them, everything checks out: the only bummer in my view is that the tag was cut off on King Cold's cape, but it's a minor detail I can forgive. I'll explain why in my breakdown below.

Trunks is better, IMO, than a lot of people find. The figure, while it's not the most accurate (it's pretty obvious this figure wasn't designed to be a Trunks one to begin with), but I don't mind it. I actually really like it, to tell you the truth. It still looks cool, and it's unique considering the SS hair but base color!

And King Cold. What can I say, I already owned one, but I like this second King Cold more than the one I had, except for the tag being missing. He's super-sturdy, the joints even tighter than on the one I already had, has a nicer smirk on his face, and thicker black lines below his eyes. The tail is also in BEAUTIFUL condition. I spotted that I made a mistake: the right hand is from the spare set, not the packed-in one.

But my favourite part of this specific King Cold? The STRAPS holding the cape in place. They're SO tight, OMG. It doesn't budge at all, I'm really IN LOVE with these straps. It's almost as if the cape is brand-new out of the box, except for the tag part. I'm gonna go easy on this as I presume a lot of owners of Jakks Pacific King Cold figures did away with the tags. I'm not as nervous about handling this figure as I am about handling my other King Cold: the left strap on the latter is stretched to hell, still attached to the back, but it can be hard to hold that side of his cape in place. Any paint loss on this King Cold is as minor as possible, just on the very tips of his horns it's barely visible, but otherwise it's all still there. I'm over the moon satisifed with this purchase. 9.9/10. I would have liked the 2 other hands and the tag on the cape, but whatever, dude, it's fine. I have all the hands anyway in some form.

I agree, the Cloudinary procedure does take some time and effort, but fortunately it's really worthwhile! I wish I could offer an easier solution, but it's the best I know of.

So I bought a figure from one of those Chinese sellers that have the like factory reject stock, topop or something. Either way it was something I always wanted to get around to doing never did finally did, I get the figure out of the envelope and go to move the arm and it just snaps very little Force barely touched it. I'm a little sad 😭

If I had to guess that's probably why it was factory rejected, the batch probably had brittle joints and that's why they've had stock for the last like 15+ years 

Edit: like 10 minutes after I posted this the seller got back with me and said they'd send me a replacement so hopefully that one doesn't break or at least if it does it's something I can replace from this one lol
