Got SDCC Vegeta in today. One one hand, it's nice to be finally 100% with my Figuarts DBZ collection, but on the flip side I think this figure is awful. I like the idea, but the execution is so bad to me.

Congrats on getting up to date on your collection! That is quite a feat. What exactly don't you like about him? I know some of the Figuarts Vegetas have problems with loose joints, but is there anything specific or just the colours? I kinda like the colours, myself.

I think that SDCC Vegeta is an amazing and extremely unique figure. The colors look great, the overall quality, joint tightness are much better than the original release.
Definitely a well deserving entry, for a pretty obscure color scheme that only a handful of merchandise are based by it.

I waited till this arrived before I posted I had won. It came in today. Seller had a feedback of 0 so I was a bit nervous. This was the best $50 I ever spent on a figuarts. There are no words. Was it just up for a Buy it Now?

Here's a c/p from Simeon someone on fb who asked similar: "I thinkk the quality is overall better than the original release in terms of joint tightess and stuff, but my scouter doesn't stay on for dick and like I'd said I like what they were going for in terms of the colors but the execution of it all just makes it look very flat. It's more aesthetics than the toy itself" I love the scheme but I almost wish they would've just done with flat coloring because the scheme itself doesn't really seem to "work" for the shaded style.

I don't think the shading really hurts it, but I can understand that you don't care for it. I think the shading helps give the pieces more dimension and not look as much like a plastic "toy" feel. I do kinda wish they would have added some of the scuff marks on the armour. It's so clean and brand new, but in the show it looked not run down but like it was well worn armour.

I agree with your thoughts on sharing in general but on this particular toy I feels that the sharing on the armor looks more dirty than defining. Some scuffing would've been nice as will: I agree.

Finally completed the android trio, and got my first ZEROs. I gotta admit, the ZEROs are much better in person than in the pics, they look great!
