the flying nimbus kinto'unDifficulty: 1/10 How to make: Adrenaline sent me the flying nimbus that came attached to the Hachette Tori-bot figure. I put it on a stand from some random figure (most likely a bootleg) several months ago and put an AB 2 inch Goku on it and posted it here I'm pretty sure. Well, I decided to paint it and put my DB Goku on it instead. I'm very happy with it, the size is acceptable and this was pretty easy, only taking a couple hours. 5 coats of paint later plus clear and here we are. He stands on it pretty well, no glue necessary. And, if you are a painter yourself, you might notice that I painted this differently than I paint most of my stuff so I could give it a cloudy appearance. I painted it a fairly regular yellow color, and then I "feather dusted" (dry brushed) white mixed with a little yellow to get the appearance like this. Hey Bran, you shouldn't worry if not many comments are being made at the beginning of the week, it is just that people are more busy  I like the cloud, but maybe you should put a better goku on it  I'd love to see an hybrid GT goku kid customized to look like DB goku on it:) |

Repainted DeAgostini SS4 GokuDifficulty: 4/10 How to make: I've owned this figure for years and years and I just finally finished painting it. I received it in ok condition, but it had marks from other DeAgostini figures on it. Plus, the original figure had inaccurate red fur, and skin colored hair in some areas, which looked dumb. So I repainted it. I already own one I repainted a long time ago (that I like better, because I painted the wristbands the same color as the belt and leggings even though that is inaccurate), so I'm selling this one for $30 or best offer. I repainted every surface except for the base, so the base still matches all of your other DeAgostini figures. And to make it blend in even better, I painted him with two coats of semigloss clear on top so he'd shine like the other DeAgostini figures. He looks great and is looking for a new home. Also, I know someone will say this, so the figure has the upper eyelids painted red for a reason, and that's because they are part of the sculpt on the figure. So I painted them red to be accurate. I'm not too fond of the Deago SS4 figures even though I own the SS4Gogeta, but this guy looks great. Did you shade the fur? Whatever it is, it brought out the life in him. The face is so much better and no longer looks like he has a massive neck. Awesome! I'd say he's worth $30 now. Someone get this.

What I did with the fur is I mixed in some pearl additive when painting it. I think I painted the fur when I was working on my Bulma for Scene Stealers since the color wasn't much different from her dress, and it was a color I had to mix.
I didn't shade anything on him though. None of the DeAgostini figures are shaded so I wanted him to blend in.
I still have so many of these figures to finish repainting... Gosh... at least 10, two of which I will be selling (Android 17 and Mr. Satan). The rest are all for my collection and figures I received with a little bit of scratch damage.

I should go through my Deago collection and do the same. Some of them have sloppy paint jobs. SS4Gogeta at least deserves a nice repaint.

If I remember right, he has the weird skin hair too. Though you probably have the Editions Atlas version without the problem anyway.

Academy model kit OolongDifficulty: 5/10 How to make: The Academy model kits are extremely rare now, so if you don't know what they are, I can't blame you. Oolong came with Bulma, but he was just unpainted green plastic. Many coats of paint later, here he is. Edit: Here are the pics, I repainted his skin one more time, did the details in pink, didn't like them, did them in black and like them... kind of. I still think he looks weird, but at least his skin is less pink and more appropriate now. Awesome work on the Academy Puar and Turtle! Those model kits are pretty sweet.
DeA SS4 Goku looks tons better now with your paintjob! Much more accurate fur color.
