gashaponista Scultures Ox King is a great looking figure! I miss the Scultures line and wish it continued. I wish I knew how to do the video editing stuff you do. Everything looks so great!

I actually just bought the figure! He's not exactly HG scale. The newer HG figures are definitely too small to scale to him accurately. Beast Gohan's top of head came to his little stomach pad in the movie. And none of the HG figures come close to that haha. It's a good figure though. |

Orange Piccolo is really tall, even before it turns giant. And without the base for me it is perfect in scale next to the classic HG, it should not have the same height as a regular Piccolo. However, in the movie, the top of Beast Gohan's head comes up to the top of his stomach pad and that's when he's bent over. The modern era of HG gashapon circa 2018-current from the Battle of Gods era onward don't scale, which is the size they're currently releasing figures in, not the older era of HG figures. Even without the base, if I were to use the HG 23 SS Goku from the set that comes with the Gohan from your video, he is still exponentially smaller scale wise when using Gohan's height in the movie as a baseline compared to Orange Piccolo. The only one who reaches the scaling of Orange Piccolo in comparison to Gohan is the Wrathful Broly figure from the HG02 Broly Super set that came out, and that Broly figure is bigger than most of the modern and older aged HG figures.
Again, using Beast Gohan's height as a baseline, and that he is only a smidge taller than Goku, none of the figures in the HG selection accurately scale to the History Box figure even without his base. Trust me. I know what I'm talking about.

Well, I also think I know what I'm talking about... I can only tell you that when talking about characters that change size one enters into a certain subjectivism... In my opinion, this Orange Piccolo is perfect and is what I was looking for for my HG Collection. Anyway, thank you for your opinion, it always helps to have different points of view. |
