Are these in any way related to the academy model figures? The artwork on the box looks similar...

nope, but a lot of the older db items have packaging that looks better than the figures. search epoch dragonball on eBay and you'll see several examples.

you should be finding old epoch/bandai dragonball stuff on eBay with really cool packaging and really kind of lame figures hopefully.

I think the person who built that Bulma didn't add the stickers to it. In Bulma's packaging you can see stickers for her eyes but they aren't on that finished one. Edit: Branjita, how much do you know about the Epoch merch? I've got a lot of pics saved from eBay of Epoch stuff, but I have no clue what the background info is on any of them. They made a TON of weird stuff, and it would be really cool to have a checklist for them.
