They are the same characters, which make it the same character license.
Personally, I would have rather seen something new like X-Men\ Spiderman\ Deadpool etc characters from Tamashii. GSC and Tamashii making the same characters back to back instead of new one's that I can add to my assortment is just pointless and annoying.

gil so you have only seen a teaser preview of them and you already determine for them as being so much better than their figma counterparts?
This is the same case as the Figuarts Iron Man releases overlapping with the figma Iron Man Mk6\avengers, but at least they offer something different instead the exact same thing that have already done before. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely happy about Mafex\GSC\Tamashii being invested in their Marvel character liecnces, since i'm an active collector of those figures, but like I said I was really hoping to see a new selection from Tamashii. I want variety and selection, Tamashii re-making what have alredy done in great figma form is pointless.

I have been wanting to see a 1/12 Wolverine for a while now as well, and hoping to see more variety from GSC for 2015.
On another topic, the Nendroid of the Dark Knight is up, and I hope to see a figma Batman soon. I'm not too fond of Injustice design personally, and find the Mafex release kind of weak to what a figma release could be.

Regarding the quality and looks I agree that the Figuarts MK42 and Iron Patriot are top notch, the 2013 Iron Man Figuarts releases arn't as well as the new ones from Tamashii\GSC though IMO.

I'm still on the fence whether I should get the figma MK7, the scale between the figma and Figuarts is really good, although the figma Iron Man is quite a bit taller than the other figma avengers and might be a bit too tall to fit in with my Figuarts.  So one thing I do hope to see from Tamashii soon is another Iron Man release.






I'm considering maybe to pick up the Revoltech MK1 re-release as well. In general the Revoltech appear to fit with the figma\Figuarts assortment, but their quality is a quite a bit lower than those.

@m5jag thanks for the comparison, that revoltech war machine looks f***ing BEAST!!! It sucks that their quality is not as good yet their price is about the same as the other line. I really want that figuarts mark VI but his price is steep now. It sucks I missed out on these figures when they release. Only figure I can afford back then was marvel universe lol. Base on the picture figma and revoltech is about the same scale.

This is what I wanted to see earlier that was in the second Star Wars display case, S.H Figuarts Luke and Han Solo!!!
