thank you all for your recommendations! I'll start to see today one of all of those animes but, is there anything that you listed that is not really "heavy" anime? looking for a fun thing to watch, jokes here and there, some fights, and pretty much something like DB. I rather start with a "light" anime and then move to the more "heavy" ones. Sounds like you would probably be looking for more Shonen type anime. In that case, Bleach and One Piece would probably fit that bill. Also from my recommendation list that may fit what you're looking for. Cromartie High School (Pure comedy) Nichijou (Pure comedy) Space Dandy (Mostly comedy but had some pretty great episodes here and there) Kill la Kill (Does have a serious story but usually pretty wacky all the way through) Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (Same sort of thing with Kill la Kill) What I would recommend highly based on what you're looking for though would be Trigun. The main character is almost like Goku but better in some respects. A damn great soundtrack and very loveable characters. It's a classic and keeps getting recommended to newcomers for a reason.

if you want to watch something hilarious, action packed and not very long, I'd recommend jojo's bizarre adventure. It's seriosuly hilarious and the character designs and visuals are amazing. Also check out the medicos action figure line for the show, that'll definitely get you into watching it

don't really looking for a super funny thing. yes, a few jokes here and there would be really cool, but I'm mostly looking for an action series and not a comedic one. few hours ago I started to watch Death Note, my friend is a fan of that show and he told me I have to watch it. and I gotta admit, IT SO GOOD! it may not be really funny, but I just can't stop watching it. after I'll finish it I'll start to watch some series from your recommendations

Absolutely watch Death Note! It is one of the greatest if not the greatest anime I've ever seen. IF you're looking for something Shonen anime, Full Metal Alchemist or Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood would be perfect. It's not too long comparing to DBZ and it has a great story with solid action, comedy, and is just amazing overall.

I'm watching Monster too! How far in are you? I'm only on epsidode 11. Also watching Rurouni Kenshin, Junjou Romantica, DRRRx2, and season 2 of Tokyo Ghoul. roshisurprise 100% keep watching Steins;Gate! I was skeptical and confused in the beginning but sh!t gets real and stays that way until the end. Lolol!! We are on the same page then, the next episode is nº12 too. I read that some people say that this is a masterpiece so I had to watch. What episode are you on now? I finished it last night. Also, anyone who wants an entertaining series with nice art and action that you can just watch and enjoy without thinking too much- Code: Breaker.

Haha, yeah! I loved it. It's better to watch it in large chunks, especially as the story progresses. It's a 10/10 for me. I found one of my favorite characters from the later episodes <3

I see... well I'm taking it more calmly, I watch some episodes in the weekend. It's okay but it doesn't keep me glued to the chair till now, like say Death Note or SnK, you know. Hope it goes better later on.

Watch more than a couple at a time and you will be glued. Infrequent watching of anything is enough to lose interest, especially with a complex, layered plot like Monster has.
In other news, I'm loving Space Dandy. Dandy is my spirit animal.

I actually just finished watching Death Note yesterday, felt so empty right after because I didn't want it to end. But yeah I would recommend this anime! This anime is full of surprises and I never knew what was going to happen.

forgot to update that I finished Death Note few weeks ago and it was AMAZING. right now I'm watching FMA:Brotherhood, it's a little boring so far (ep. 11) but I heard so many great comments about it so I'm giving it another chance.
