That’s tempting but articulation is a hardline for me.

The figure appears to scale really well with 5 inch scale since Figuarts Golden Frieza is basically exactly the size Golden Frieza would need to be to integrate with Irwin/Jakks figures. Cooler was a little taller than Goku in the movies so this is pretty much perfect. If anything, it might be a little bit smaller than perfect for Irwin/Jakks.

Looks very good. It'd be cool to make a diorama with lots of coolers in one side, and Goku Awakening SHF with custom Vegeta Battle Damaged in the other.

It's a shame they are so expensive. $35+ for a static 5 inch figure sucks. Reminds me of when I preordered dead Yamcha and paid something like $49 for what ended up being a Real Works scale Yamcha. And then the bootleggers bootlegged him and sold him for like $14 and he was about 80% as good.

BREAKING NEWS: A new figure has been made that is 5 inch scale. Am I dreaming?
Love the paint job, too. His face is weird....like he just farted and is trying to hide it, but that's fine. I don't need articulation anymore either. In fact, I prefer statues. With Metal Cooler being probably the most important main character that I DON'T have and have not made, this will be a must buy.

Yeah, he's pretty cool. Since Adrenaline sculpted me such a good Metal Cooler that I painted last year, I am going to skip it though. I was looking at Golden Frieza compared to my custom figure last night, and this released one is actually much smaller than I would want. And I really, really don't need 2 Metal Coolers in my collection. He'll make a great addition to anyone's collection that doesn't already have a metal cooler custom though. And it's extremely awesome that they either figured out a way to paint chrome on figures or they used vacuum metalization like is used on chrome Hot Wheels to cover the figure, which is awesome.

The head on your custom is definitely better. It has that smug Cooler grin, but man, the detailing on him was difficult to sculpt, and it's such a good feeling that I don't need to finish mine. I'll live with this new one being 1 cm too short.
Now if I can get 498 more characters in this line, I'm set.

Adrenaline looked into the cost of getting it from nippon yasai or whatever it's called and with shipping it would be $58. I would think that if it's like the dead Yamcha, it might be best to wait a couple weeks or months and see if it ends up on ebay for a cheaper price. I paid a lot for my Yamcha and I remember he ended up on ebay for about $15 less than I paid. And then ultimately he ended up getting bootlegged and you can pick up bootlegs (that are about 80% as good) for about $14.
