Haven't had a ton of time to play around with it, but I wanted to confirm for anyone curious that the new Saiyan Saga Vegeta's head does swap out with the recent SSJ Vegeta pretty easily. It's not super easy to pop them on and off, but the ball joint is the exact same size for both. It also looks like there's a better "hook" for the scouter, so for those like me who had issues with the scouter constantly falling out, it shouldn't be as much of a problem. I'm glad to hear that! I was afraid Tamashii Nations was going to change it but if it's the same head mold it would make sense that they kept it the same ball joint as well.

There's less accessories and no paint shading at all. Why is Tamashii being so damn cheap. I really wanted this for an extra head for Super Vegeta but now its not really worth it when you have the original.

If I may counter, as someone who actually owned both... Yeah, the lack of shading is disappointing (though I should point out that there is some that doesn't show up in the photos, but it's so subtle they probably needn't have bothered) but the new Vegeta comes with an additional scouter accessory we didn't get in the original release, and is far, FAR more stable than the original.
For example, I used to display mine with the scouter in, and I was constantly losing it because of how poorly it was designed. That's not an issue with this release, since the scouter is actually plugged into the "scouter" hair instead of being tenuously "hooked" on the ear, meaning it can be displayed without fear of losing the piece. Additionally, the 2.0 hips are far and away better than the old ones, which is a godsend given that my old Vegeta used to be the first figure to fall off the shelf even standing flat-footed.
So yeah... it may LOOK more cheap than the original, but I can tell you it feels much better in hand. I've got the recent SSJ Vegeta in my display with the normal head (it's more iconic), but I'm not opposed to swapping it out from time to time.
Might give it a few paint washes first though. I might think it's better, but that doesn't mean it couldn't use some better paint apps, at least on the armor.

Yeah, my new Vegeta arrived today, and to be honest I got it for the exact reasons stated above. Posing the old one is a pain. The scouter falls off, the head falls off, the hands fall off. Damn, even the leg came off!! Nothing broken thankfully, but just ridiculously loose joints!
I'll be returning him to the box shortly, bar perhaps the effect accessory. It depends how good the Obitsu one looks when it finally arrives!! This week hopefully! Pictures soon!

Displayed my Vegeta today. It's certainly an improved sculpt/design, but a weaker execution on the finish/detail. Almost reminds me of the Figurise line. In fact he looks a lot more consistent alongside the figurise mechanics pod. Similar style. The original Vegeta has been packed away (bar the effect)!

Since this will be the first Figuarts figure I actually open (Golden Frieza doesn't count, because it's 5 inch scale, not something entirely different for my collection like this Vegeta is...) I'll have to wait and see if Yamcha and Tien come with shading or not. If they do, I'll definitely be detailing the paintwork on my Vegeta for sure. If not, then I'll leave them all looking cartoon-like with solid colors.
It's very dissatisfying to pay high prices for figures that don't have deluxe looking paint jobs though. The yellow on Kanji's Vegeta's belly armor and crotch armor doesn't even fill the space that it is supposed to. I wouldn't be critical of it if the figure was $15, but at around $50, it sure does suck.

I actually like the matte paintjobs the new figures seem to have. This figure needed weathering tho

I'm not as partial to the Scouter Vegeta, so I'm thinking of just swapping the heads and re-selling it with the SS Head/faces & Scouter Head. The lack of any paint or shading really kills it for me, even though the sculpt is leaps and bounds better than the original.
Not sure what I'd do with four Vegetas anyway (Including Majin Vegeta when he gets released).

I just got my SS3Goku 2.0, VegetaScouter 2.0 and Nappa in the mail today and I didn't think the Vegeta would be my favourite of the 3. I prefer quality over detail with possible figures.

Hi, does anyone know if the scouters from this re-released/updated Scouter Vegeta will fit onto the OG Scouter Vegeta? Thank you.
