I haven't been in this thread for a while. I saw the Gamma 1 pre-order on Amazon and came straight here.
The sculpt is great. I want the SH Figures version, but I can do without it if I can get a better alternative. Which is where Dragon Stars can shine. And the more they improve with scale/proportions and articulation the better off we'll be. They probably save a lot with not doing ab-crunches, which is ok. But the day they do, oh boy. They just gotta focus on the characters or forms of characters that we may never see in Figuarts form. Like all forms of Frieza, Cell and Buu. And keep with the accessories and playsets. Big I digress.
I'd like them to do Chi Chi, Bulma, Videl. We haven't seen Yamcha or Tien
I hope these figures are getting the support they need. Imagine where will be once they tackle Moro and etc.

I got the new Dragon Stars Super Hero Goku. It's so much more improved than the older two base Goku It has some issues like that the waist and hips look kind of funky but functionally holy crap it's so much better than the older ones. Comparing this new one to the 2.0 is like night and day. New is Left, 2.0 is Right Tried to do the same pose between the two, and the 2.0 just can't get it I like it a lot needless to say. (no comparison with the 1.0, I have it but felt it wasn't as needed to dig him out.) (also i've modded the 2.0 Goku to make his neck hole deeper so it sits a tad lower than it did originally, so it has that trying to make it look better and yet the new one wipes the floor with it lol)    |

Whoa! That's incredible! I'll share those pics and that info on the DBF Facebook, giving you credit of course! You're the first person I've seen with the figure!
It looks like the arms are a lot shorter too, so maybe we will finally be finished with the weird proportions in the Dragon Stars line of figures. Almost very figure has abnormally long forearms and a lot of them have oddly long shins.

Yeah, I was excited to get the figure, so this whole last week or so I was scouring for pics or videos, there's like none, just some really really poor videos that barely show it, or in box shots.
and I hope so, lots of what should be real cool figures are ruined by weird proportions and the poor leg range

Yeah, I still can't believe Janemba's legs move so little. He's my favorite DBZ villain, but I can't even figure out a way to pose him (that I like).

Yesterday I received a tip that Dragon Stars Omega Shenron was displayed on Toys R Us's website in the United Arab Emirates. Sure enough, he was! I snooped through the rest of their site looking for other unannounced future Dragon Stars figures and was happy to see Gamma 2, Ultimate Gohan, Vegeta, and Beast Gohan. I'm surprised I didn't find an Orange Piccolo... but I did not. Omega Shenron is stated to be approximately 9.4 inches tall (which is 23.8 cm). I somewhat hope that that's a typo, because that is massive! Even bigger than the standard Dragon Stars box (8 7/8" tall or 22.5 cm). It's wishful thinking, but I hope that it's supposed to be 19.4 cm tall (7.6 inches). For reference, I believe Cooler form 5 is 17cm tall (6.7 inches). I also believe that the Jakks Omega Shenron is 18cm (7.1 inches) tall at the top of his head (21cm tall, 8.3 inches, if you include his horns (and he is looking downward)). If it's not a typo, it will still be ok for many fans! Omega Shenron is fairly inconsistently sized in the few episodes he appears in. He's most comparable to Nappa (in my opinion), who is sometimes just a bit bigger than Piccolo, and other times, twice the size of Goku. The TRUMENA site says Gamma 2 will be 6 inches tall and "Includes a buildable piece that can be combined to form the legendary dragon Shenron, when all 6 are collected". I assume that's a mistake, and just a left over from old DS figures coming with BAF parts.   " Son Gohan Beast" will be 6.5 inches tall according to the site.   Ultimate Gohan will be 6 inches   Vegeta's ad says he'll be 6 inches, and like Gamma 2, I assume it incorrectly mentions build a figure pieces   Finally, we get to Omega Shenron at a reported 9.4 inches tall!   So here's where speculation comes in. I don't know any release dates. I would expect that Vegeta, Ultimate Gohan, and Gamma 2 will be the next set of figures released.  I, personally, expect that Omega Shenron will be a singular release, probably in some sort of special box, at a special price. I would think he'll be in a box somewhat similar to a Dragon Stars Power Pack (the figures that come with ki aura effects and other accessories) or a two-pack. It's possible that he won't be, so I prepared this image below:  I think it's likely we'll see Orange Piccolo in a set of 3 with Beast Gohan and....? Will we see a wildly out of scale Cell Max...? Dr. Hedo? Somebody else? Nobody else? Omega Shenron? |

These all look nice but Omega Shenron especially looks amazing, hope he releases soon I really want to get him!
A Dr Hedo or something would be really nice but I’m guessing it’ll probably be Orange Piccolo

All that is missing is basically Orange Piccolo and Cell Max. I would love if Omega is the size listed but I won't hold my hopes up. Either way a brand new Omega Shenron is incredible since the Jakks figure is basically impossible to obtain anymore.

It's possible that an armorless Broly could be included in the wave with Beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo, but I'm not sure about that. He did basically nothing in the movie, yet Tamashii made a SHF of him... so you never know.
