Dragon Stars - (Dragon Ball Super figures released in US)

Hopefully we get figures of some human characters, too, like Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha.

Looking at them on their website now, it also doesn't say in any of their descriptions that they come with a BAF piece. I checked the previous wave Vegito's page and said they all came with a Broly piece. So probably no BAF for this wave unless they reveal it later.

Dragon Stars frustrates me. I can't find a news source for it, nor many pictures of them at toy shows/comic cons. I don't know where to get news. I have only seen pictures on instagram and nobody ever states their source. If you search bandai "dragon stars" gotenks on google, you won't find jack. So apparently no websites are covering the news of them. Edit: thefwoosh was the source of the larger pictures, but not the original ones in the grid that nobody will take/give credit for. My assumption is that they are from someone who works at Gamestop.

So here's the remaining figures that we have seen prototypes of: new movie Broly, Android 18, SSB Gogeta, SS3 Gotenks, Kid Buu, SS2 Gohan.

Originally it was thought that SS4 Goku was a BAF because of how the old blurry photos were put on Instagram originally. It doesn't seem to be the case anymore. And also, in the original grid photos somebody got access to and posted... it's more than coincidental that the grid had these exact 6 figures together for wave 5.



So based on this as well as the official Dragon Stars site, wave 5 is:

Android 17
SS3 Goku
Perfect Cell
Frieza form 1
SS4 Goku
Piccolo

So the next wave (wave 6) according to this older image from November is:

SS2 Gohan
SS3 Gotenks

BAF? SS Broly seems too big to be a regular figure, but maybe they aren't doing BAFs anymore? If they aren't, it sure is going to save me a lot of money and trouble having to buy figures I don't want and then resell them after taking the BAF parts out. Him looking squished could explain him being a regular release instead of BAF I guess. But maybe we'll get INSANELY lucky and they will make non-SS Broly as a regular figure and he'll be in the clothing he was wearing when he and Paragus were found on that planet AND we'll get BAF Broly parts. Hell, I don't care what he is wearing, I hope they make one of the non-SS Broly designs in Dragon Stars!!

But anyway, who is missing from these two lines that could be in them or future waves? In my opinion, SS Broly must surely be a BAF. SS4 Vegeta is missing from these and a very obvious future release. If they decide to REALLY branch out into DBGT, Omega Shenron would be a great BAF. Hopefully they don't do a Fat Buu BAF because I would have no interest in that, but it could be a possibility. I think Super Buu and any his absorbed versions are big enough to be worthy of being a BAF. Imperfect Cell is big... he could be a BAF. Android 16 is missing from these lines... he's big... he'd make a good BAF... he seems pretty likely. It's hard to have 17 and 18 in DBZ clothing (instead of Super clothing) and skip Android 16....

So to me, Android 16 is a likely BAF for wave 6, SS Broly is a likely BAF for wave 5. Non-SS Broly is a likely figure for wave 6 and SSB Gogeta is definitely in wave 6. SS4 Vegeta is a likely wave 7 figure.

There's no mention of BAF parts on BBTS's pages for these figures.

Darn. Also... Frieza is enormous. I'll probably still consider getting Piccolo since I need him for my Saiyan Saga Figuarts collection.

I’m torn about this assortment. I want Super: Broly real bad and I’ll be glad if I don’t have to buy a bunch of garbage to get him, but I think they’d do him better justice as a BAF.
And I also want a torn blue pants base form Broly.

My wish list is all over the place: Ranger outfit 17, God Vegeta, Potafeu Copy Vegeta, Frost (all forms), base form Kale, base and SS Kauliflas, Kefla, Freeza second and third forms. I’m basically unpleasable.
