Looks translucent to me. I really hope that changes by the time they release these figures. They've got quite a while to work out the details before they see release, so I'll keep hoping for the best. Worse comes to worse, I just wont buy them. I do hope they sell well enough that Bandai may decide to release something of a higher quality at some point. Maybe something on the level of Marvel Legends at worst. Marvel Legends figures are worth the price that they sell for. Nice solid plastic, good basic articulation and overall build quality is really nice. Purchasing these kind of figures gives me more satisfaction than purchasing a Figuarts one.

WTF They decide on a 3.5 inch scale, 6.5 inch scale, and 7 inch scale? But skip a 5 inch scale? Screw you, Bandai! You made me laugh. Didn't realise they could have released 5inch sized figures too. I hope in future they release some perfect looking gems for the 5inch collectors. Boggles my mind. Like they do it on purpose. 5-inch DBZ figure merchandise was stellar for years in the 90s and 2000s...then Jakks Pacific lost the license, and since then they have made every scale BUT 5-inch and the lines die out. They need to figure it out. Someone calling the shots is pretty ignorant lol

Please let the BAF figures have a visually appealing packaging for collectors and not be too childish.

I would guess that it will probably be like the Power Rangers Legacy figures that have been coming out recently, since they're basically the same kind of line.

Based on the pictures, I am happily surprised. For $19,99 they seem absolutely awesome. I wish the BAF Shenron would be bigger though...

I hope this line does well so we can see some more characters later down the line. If they make some larger characters that Figuarts hasn't made, they could be good for a Figuarts collection. Plus, maybe they can make Broly. I'm always down for a new Broly.
Their Power Rangers line has been doing really well from what I've seen and already has several sets with more on the way, so hopefully the DBZ stuff will do the same.
I still think I'll pick up Beerus if I see one, just cause Beerus is cool. I think Frieza is probably the best looking one of the bunch though.

They look good. I might have to get them. At least Beerus and Frieza will be worth getting.

I'm definitely getting the Frieza, his sculpt is way better than the S.H. Figuarts one, he's probably too tall though.

The Frieza looks pretty good. These are definitely a nice alternative to Figuarts. I honestly don't care for them at all though. If they were 5 inch scale I'd be jumping for joy. But instead I'm just like

The Dragon Stars line looks pretty cool, definitely not S.H. Figuarts quality but still cool nonetheless, Vegeta's legs are way too long though. I'm pretty upset that Bandai America thinks the US DBZ community is full of children, the majority of the figures they're making look super cheap and gimmicky. You'd think they'd see this site and realize that most of us just want a nice fully articulated 5" scale line. Regardless I'm still really hyped about these, we're finally getting new DBZ figures in US stores again.
