One thing I think is worth mentioning is this thread is that using the word "invested" suggests that you're spending the money with an expectation of achieving a profit. I've collected many things in my life, in addition to Dragon Ball figures and something I've learned is that these types of collectable arent always the best investment. I own a few figures that used to sell for hundreds back when I was young, but now a days they're worth a quarter of their original price. This goes for anything in life, really. You can buy it cheaply and sell it at a profit, so long as you do both these things at the right time. I suppose my point is that dont buy these figures hoping to make a fortune or profit one day. Its very risky. Buy them because you like them and enjoy the hobby.

I've never taken an accurate inventory as I'm afraid of the real number but off the top of my head its probably between ~$3,500-4,500.
