That is what turned me off of this line, in the beginning, was because it looked like an upscaled version of MSP. However, the thing that made me change my mind about was seeing personal pictures other collectors posted online of SSJ Goku and how amazing the detail looked on the figure. I noticed though with SSJ Goku and Base form Goku poses are the same as their MSP counterparts. Although Goku Black and Vegeta the poses are different, which I like at least that every figure is not the same pose over and over. I am hoping this pattern continues with Bardock, the pose I am hoping they use for the figure is Bardock tying the bloody bandana around his head from the Bardock Special. That is of course if it is Bardock in his base form if it is him in his SSJ form then I am not sure what pose he might have.
As for your question, honestly, I don't know if MSP is over. Sometimes it seems that way, but then occasionally Banpresto releases a new MSP figure whether it is "Manga Dimensions" or the newer "Chocolate" MSP figures. I suppose we will have to wait and see what happens, but I am not sure if it is over or not.
I agree 100% That seems to be a major issue with Banpresto lines, as well as other figure companies, is they tend to focus on Goku more than any other character. I understand that Goku is the protagonist of the story, however, there are other characters who are popular as well. As for Resolution of Soldiers, yeah I bought Hercule, just because he is not a character that gets a lot of attention and wanted to buy him so I could add him to my D.O.D collection. Also, I am happy that they made Mirai Gohan, an incarnation of Gohan that often gets forgotten about when it comes to Banpresto figures among other figure companies. As for Grandista, you're right, they are stretching the line thin with making so many Goku's this early in the line. There has already been a number of collectors who have complained about this, that is why I am hoping with them making Bardock this means that they will make some other characters such as Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin, maybe some villains.

Grandista SSJ Goku is approx. 11 in (28 cm) tall, so the line's at about 1/6 scale. The Resolution of Soldiers line as a whole intrigues me. I wanted to invest in the original offerings, but I'm not going to do that if I can't get a Piccolo out of it. I've thought about going for Grandista instead... but it isn't really my preferred scale. Either way, they're all gorgeous figures.

There are 2 new figures for this series. One of them is yet another Goku. The other young Gohan.
