Both look like they're coming along quite nicely. The one with armor looks like it needs its arms shortened a bit, but besides that it's great!

I think his arms are okay, but only because I didn't remove that much material. I have this comparison pic I took before carving the neck a little shorter and a lot thinner and then polishing/sanding everything on the neck and everything painted white. My armored characters are all coincidentally taller than my non-armored characters, which I still use the excuse that the boots make them taller haha.  That body in the background is actually my old plan for Bardock. I might use different arms now that I have other options, but right now the plan is to shorten the legs and run with it. Whenever I do that, I'm going to shorten DG's jakks Bardock at the same time and eventually paint the two at the same time. |

I don't have a non-ss Gohan for my cell saga display. Like this post if you think I should paint his hair black. Reply if you don't think so and tell me why I need a ss Gohan in armor and an ss Gohan in purple outfit and cape + a ss2 Gohan in purple without cape. Interested to see the results... I remember he had long hair and Goku cut his hair shorter and we probably mostly saw him with blonde hair, but, I know we never saw him as non ss wearing purple except when he passed out... and I need a non-ss Gohan for this saga to fit in with my other saiyan characters...   |

This is out there but maybe do this one as a non ss and make another one as a ss but in damaged armor.

No plans for any of the Crusher Corps until I have much more mainstream characters done. Dr Wheelo is still something I started and never finished. I did get some possible parts in the mail for him.
I still need a finished Yamcha in my collection. This is getting sad.

Ah, I figured it was the angle. The arms do look fine. I think he'd be really cool with the black hair, especially if you don't plan on making any other non-SS one!

As usual, I made up my mind myself, black hair it is! I gotta have a black haired version and I can swap the head over to the ss2 body should I want a black hair, purple gi Gohan at some point.

Unless you were willing to make a black haired and yellow haired Gohan in armor, I'd say paint it black to accommodate your desire.
But don't forget to paint his neck skin tone since Gohan and Goku didn't have Turtle-neck type of bodysuits.
