Well, I'm still at it! I've been slooowly chipping away at what I consider to be the most desirable figures from both the Irwin and Jakks Pacific 5" lines. You'd be surprised with just how well many of them display with the figuarts. Some of them, I think, are even are on par with the figuarts. There really are some hidden gems amongst the ranks. If you're looking to expand you figuarts collection further, as I currently am now, look no further! I can't say exactly which of these figures are new to the collection, as it has been a while since I actually took the time to update it. I do still have several other figures that I am now contemplating, either a valid use for or a way to physically squeeze them in there. I really want to do something with Irwin's King Kai and the upcoming SH Figuarts regular Goku. Surely, with all those extra faces there is a myriad of possible poses to explore. Can't wait for that crap! Plus, I'm still waiting on a MOC Irwin Dabura and Hercule to arrive in the mail. So there's that to look forward to in the mean time. Not a lot more I can say, I'm afraid. Enjoy!

pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=111287841731Have you considered this SS3 Gotenks? This one has decent pics which is the only reason I chose it. The Irwin non SS one is also very good and way oversized for 5 inch scale. Unfortunately you're going to be disappointed with the size of Hercule and Dabura but at least they look fantastic. Dabura is without a flaw. Hercule just lacks beady light blue irises.

I had thought that Dabura was roughly equal in proportions to Jakk's' Super Buu, is that wrong?
Hercule, in my opinion, was always one of the best Irwin figures produced - but as you said, there was always something peculiar about his eyes. Which probably explains why I've been holding off adding him to my collection for all these years. But that's easily remedied with a little bit of paint and patience.

Dabura is a big figure, but he's not bigger than figuarts Piccolo is my main point.
The eye fix takes barely any time at all. I did one or two in my finished custom topic.

Have you considered buying figures from Timone? Most of his are pretty mint and he has a really good selection. He has tons of figures that would compliment Figuarts more than they do 5 inch scale collections... Jakks SS3 Gotenks... Jakks rerelease of Irwin energy blaster Gohan in armor (neither release has shading on any of the colors unfortunately)... Irwin Dende... Irwin Krillin with hair... Jakks Kibitoshin. And you'd probably like PuiPui because like Dabura he isn't out of 5 inch scale, but he's super well painted by Irwin.

Bran's suggestions are good, especially Irwin Gotenks and Irwin Krillin w/hair. Though, I think Pui Pui is awfully painted. Irwin made him gray and dark green...the guy is supposed to be white and black. lol

Yeah, I've got a MOC Pui-Pui that I'm still undecided upon. Generally, I prefer to buy as many of the figures that I can as MOC, rather than loose. It's really hit and miss buying loose figures on the net. They are almost never as good as you'd imagine or much much worse. So, naturally MOC makes the most sense to me.

Same. Even though I am a loose collector I like to know that the figure I am getting is mint.

Well, ask Timone if his are mint or not.

I've been trying to haggle him out of that custom Gotenks absorbed Super Buu, but I think he's a just little reluctant to sell it as the condition isn't the best. So, it's kind of the same old situation. Although, I've had a rather successful streak with good condition loose figures lately. That Super Buu was loose and is in incredible condition, as was the Shin and Kabito I bought from the same seller. So it is possible to find good used figure on the bay, just a bitch filtering through all the beat up garbage people want top dollar for. Not that the last statement was applicable to Tim in any way, more so a general statement. You know?

Also, I forgot to mention that I did a quick improvement on the Irwin Babidi's eyes. Mine, like most I've seen had been almost completely covered by the wash paint effect from factory, giving him very murky brown coloured eye white. A light rub with a magic sponge removed the spillover and restored Babidi's eyes to a bright white finish. A very minor adjustment but you'd be surprised just how much of a difference it makes to the figure's overall appeal.

Wow, form 2 is bigger than I thought! Form 3 could actually pass for 5 inch scale almost. damn he might be too tall.

Well, admittedly this isn't much of an update really. Only two new additions, neither of which are figuarts and only one of them will be staying in the display permanently. I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed with my new Irwin Dabura; Hercule, not so much. I'll have a play around with his face and see if I can breathe some much needed character back into the figure. I don't like his muddy eyes and teeth. He looks like a homeless Englishman on a crank bender! Next update to be my new HSCF SS Gotenks, then it's SHF Goku + Irwin King Kai and thereafter the two android siblings, completing my triad of evil. All of these figure still to come and I'd also very much like to find a spare SHF Trunks to display his regular state also. I'm beginning to have some serious doubts of whether my little shelf can squeeze them all in... Perhaps, I might have to cull 2nd Form Cell and Hercule what are your thoughts?

I would remove Hercule. It's a great figure but is just too short. Dabura looks great in there though.
