I snagged one on sale at Gamestop for $110. The guy told me that they were having a sale that ended today, and I was the last customer before closing  Also got a one year warranty on that mofo so I don't have to worry about it flaking out on me. Yeah I'm pretty bummed about SDCC Gohan, but I think it's more frustrating for the seller because I keep bailing  |

EB games (what they call GameStop here) are always having sales. I probably buy 80% of my games from there.

Yeah I skip the warranty on everything, I remember they offered me a warranty for GTA.... why would I need that? But since every Xbox I've owned (4 so far) have all broken down eventually, I figured it was a must have this time.
I always see them advertise their sales in email newsletters, but it's not very often that anything on sale looks appealing.
They're used to be a ton of EB Games here in the US, but I never see them anymore. I liked EB more than Gamestop because I remember them having a lot more action figures and non-video game items.

When I used to buy consoles. I would always buy at bestbuy. They would offer a two year warranty. I always took it. I had to use it twice because like you said my Xbox eventually went bananas on me.

Yeah I know they're the same stores, but when I was younger there was an EB Games close to where I lived that later was converted to a Gamestop, and while it was EB games they had a pretty big section for action figures, shirts, posters, etc but then when they switched it to Gamestop they got rid of all of that stuff except the occasional tiny selection of Assassin's Creed or Halo figures/shirts.

I know EB Games and GameStop are the same company. They are only called EB Games here. My local one also occasionally get in figures and other stuff too.

Soooo...I got my hands on GTA V.  I'd rather not make a new post just to say this so I'll edit this one...I found Packie while playing...just about blew my mind. I've been avoiding any news that's been posted about GTA and all I really knew was that some of the past characters were going to be playable in multiplayer...when I came across a random event and started hearing him speak I kept thinking "I know I've heard this voice before"...and then bam, Packie was added to my contacts. How awesome. (edit, guess he wasn't a contact, just a potential addition to heist missions...I used him on the first and it was pretty great. then...) WTF...Johnny Klebitz...I didn't give one damn about that guy or the Lost and the Damned DLC but it was so crazy seeing him show up...and then even crazier to see what happened to him. Man. |

So GameStop bought EB games or something? There used to be one here but it disappeared for whatever reason, I liked it for the random stuff they'd have that wasn't games. Also timone liking what you've seen?  just wait for gta online and that'll happen again. |

I think EB Games and Gamestop were owned by the same company, but EB here in the US went bankrupt or something and they were replaced by GameStop. Or Gamestop just bought out EB Games.... not really sure.
Btw have any of you guys had trouble with glitches/freezing in GTA 5? I fell into this weird stumbling glitch yesterday and it fed up my game. I couldn't get out of the glitch so I had to restart my Xbox, but then it would freeze on the loading screen. I had to delete my save file (luckily had a backup) and delete all of the installed game files and re-install it. Apparently a lot of people are having similar problems when playing the game on the older Xbox models.
I swear this game is the greatest, but it's caused a ridiculous amount of problems for me...
