At it looks like DOD is dead..............no new prototypes at MH Expo...........No surprise really!!
I stopped collecting after that terrible Vegeta!! Was looking forward to a SSJ Vegeta and Trunks!
Maybe we'll see a OD version sometime in the future!

kanji I would not call it dead but just "put on hold" for the moment. However, I agree with you I was VERY disappointed at this Megahobby event. I was expecting more at Megahouse and hoping that we would see more at least with DOD Over Drive since that seems to be the new line replacing the first DOD line. I hope they won't keep us waiting much longer on the DOD Vegetto pre-order. It has been 3 months since he was shown in the August Hobby Japan Magazine and he did not have a release date then. We are approaching the end of November, if we do not get a release date by Jump Festa 2017 or see a pre-order by January 2017 I would say that DOD is in serious trouble.

Oh yea same here about vegetto!! Vegetto will be an instant preorder for me. I've been looking around pretty much every day waiting to purchase the bad boy.

What I don't understand about this line, is why the box is so freakin cool and big, but the figure is the size of a SH Figuarts. Why couldn't there be a medium between this line and the Medicom line? The face and body sculpts are much better on the D.O.D line, but the size, clothing, and articulation is easily won by the Medicom line.
I own the Scouter Goku, which was too hard to pass up because it looks so cool. I only wished it was bigger.
The Medicom Goku (youth) on the nimbus cloud, might be one of the best dragonball figures ever made. I wish they kept making that line.

I have received the DOD of android 18....And finally in real she's not bad! She's not Perfect like the proto unfortunatly, but she's good (in fact When you forget the proto and look the retail version only, it's acceptable) I think if we cut a little bit the ripped edges on shoulders she will be even better Some pict with other comparative   I think buy a second one and try to customize |

The head sculpt looks really subpar compared to the prototype. Is this just a matter of photography or do you think they did a lazy job on this one?
Can't wait to see some customization on the cloth. They are really keeping me from ordering the figure for this price.

Hello, i tried to fix a little bit the problem of android 18. In fact, with a toothpick, i have try to put the surplus of shoulder in the Jacket. (Left:Before/Right:After)  It's not perfect yet (i did it fastly just to see) but the shoulders seems to be a little better, and i think that if i cut the ripped edges the jacket should be really better What do you think? |

Yes, but when we compare, Prototype is really 100% Better! It was just PERFECT   The Head of Retail version seems a little less good, and the jacket is just horrible... Shoulders are really too big, not respectful to the serie at all, and The material of the jacket does not seem to be the same... I'm really disapointed by this Android 18, because the prototype was just perfect, it was one of the best DOD we ever seen! It's the first time that retail version is inferior to proto, and i want to try to Fix this jacket but i don't know how... This is why I have trust issues. |

Jump Festival takes place Friday, I hope we see more DOD or DOD Over Drive. Keep your fingers crossed, that we will finally see a release date for Vegetto!
