I would imagine they could, seeing as how most of the people involved with the bootlegs are from the same factories making the legit figures. All they need to do is get a belt. There were probably quite a few QC rejects for paint or something minor, they just need to copy that and then the face. Makes me think of when Sota Toys straight up had their steel molds for their entire Street Fighter line stolen by factory workers. A LOT of the figures new in package are "bootlegs" being made off the real molds, and they can be almost indistinguishable from the official figures.
As for the Datong Goku, it's the normal ball plug like the real one. The only reason the SS3 has a different one is to give more support to all the hair.

I don't know why I can't see my original post but yea of course I opened it and it was expensive but inexpensive compared to the going rate, I think I have the lowest buy on eBay for it at 475 was supposed to be 425 when I messaged the guy but it was a pain to translate and he forgot to take the 50 dollars shipped off and he changed it to buy it now for me so I just clicked it since ones for $600 were selling instantly but it now I didn't want someone else to click it while I told him. Anyways the guy was really cool and he was gonna refund me the 50 but shipping thru DHL cost 75 bux but I got it in 2 days so I just told him to do that.

I don't know why, but seeing it in these photos by, bbarta89, just made me uninterested in for some reason. Like, whats the big deal about it? I know its the Sayian Saga and Namek Saga Goku, but like what else? Theres nothing much interesting about it, as nothing much changed except "GO" decals, one different face, stash belt, and repaint. And thats it. Would of been better if it came with several different faces, to some could of been for the SS Goku, different effect part, something that makes it its own. I don't know, perhaps its just how its posed in the pictures that makes me see it like "meh..." lol!

The DaTong Goku neck joint is like a real normal Goku's? I though it was like in DaTong SS3 Goku. Because I've seen a kid review a bootleg Goku, not sure if it was DaTong's, but it had the Datong SS3 Guku neck joint. The reason why i ask is because I need a spare Goku head, well the hair basically. Which I pposted a add in the buy/sell/trade section of the forum. Don't need the faces. But spending $50-$70 just for a hair part is expensive as from a bootleg one would be cheaper. Now I wounder if the DaTong normal Goku and a real normal Goku hairs color tone match each other? lol! |
