Yeah, the one supersaiyansanchez sent me was unfortunately a bootleg, but it was hard to tell unless you own the other figures. I don't blame him at all. The plastic is harder, colors are a bit different, paint job a bit sloppier, and they even went so far as to put MADE IN CHINA on the bottom like the legit figures, but the font is smaller. I didn't know bootlegs existed! I assumed that since the colors were a little different it was the Hong Kong release or maybe even Japanese release of the figure. I know the figures were released in Hong Kong in yellow packaging. I think in America they were sold in... blue packaging??? |

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was blue packaging. I think I got it from somewhere like Big Lots or K Mart in the mid 90's.

No kidding. I should quit looking at ebay every day and just choose a folder on my harddrive to look through. I'm guaranteed to see a lot of neat stuff I don't remember.
I didn't have a clue I had any pics of German DeAgostini figures. I didn't even know that was German written on the pages, I just assumed (years ago) that it was French!

Man that's pretty great , but when I tried to save one of the photos it looks like total crap. Between DG and I we've only got 14 of these, I snapped pics the other night. It also kind of sucks the list is incomplete, but extra info is better than no info. Sanchez.... VOL 00 is allegedly one of the rarest mattel re-releases according to this site I found with a write up on them. It's a good article, I'll probably reference some of the info for the checklist. Also did you guys know that the bandai Blasting energy action figures were released in mattel packaging? I've got the Frieza.   |

Yeah, those pics are crappified on old DBT, but it's good reference. Could take some screenshots of the thumbnails and merge them together into a single image to use on our checklist though.
I'm not sure if I knew about the BEA figures or not. I just knew I wanted the DB set with Shenron, so I got it when it came out.

Hey Cap, you'll like this. I just found my infamous pic of the Chinese Fly stuck in the paint of my original Android 19 figure. He was stuck in the paint when I bought 19 new in package, and I never once touched the bug because I figured he could be carrying SARS. This was, after all, released when SARS was going around.  |

Did you pay an outrageous price for that vol 00 goku? Believe it or not , no. I was hanging out with DG one night and he was browsing eBay on his phone and came across a freshly listed VOL. 1 mattel goku from Mexico. So he messaged the guy and asked if he had Others.... We ended up getting 12 of them which we split for around 20 bucks apiece. The only one we passed on was a BEA Ginyu because the package was highly damaged. Pretty sure that dude Rob vader bought it and has it up on eBay now. Only crappy part of that story is that somebody bought the vol 1 Goku while we were negotiating with the dude hahaa. I would have loved to have had that. |

whoa talk about rare SBC, those mattel sbc's are rare indeed. i dont think ive ever seen them before, even on ebay
