Saw some pics and posts here and other places people found some good toys/collectibles in thrift shops. As far as I know, I thought thrift stops basically carry only furniture/clothing. Do thrift stores really carry toys/collectibles?

If you're lucky, you might find something but it's pretty random what you can get in thrift shops.

I honestly never visited any Thrift stores since I thought they only carry books/clothes/furniture. So basically, thrift stores carry more than just the ones I mentioned above right?

Yes. Thrift shops can carry literally anything.

Your best bet it to visit a consignment shop. People pay rent on small sections of the store. This leads to much more variety. The stores around me have old dbz stuff but, they always ask too much.

I went in a Good Will last year and looked for DBZ stuff. All I found was a vhs tape, and the day I buy a vhs is the day I... no... can't even come up with anything lol... it is too impossible to think of.

They usually do. You might even find some rare things there for cheap. I have a friend who bought a game worth $600 for like $5 at a thrift store.

I go thrifting/garage sailing a lot and I've found a lot of DBZ stuff. In this area (Toronto) it's 90% Irwin stuff. I found a rare MIB Japanese scouter toy at one garage sale for $5. I've also found some rare Jakks figures at a flea market dealer. Found an autographed Piccolo figure at another garage sale for $2. It's hit and miss. You just got to go a lot!

A friend of mine found a pretty rare SNES game in a thrift shop year before last. Paid a dollar for it and racked in more than $80 for it on Ebay.
Last year I accompanied a friend to a local thrift store; he was looking for a cheap suit to trash for Halloween. I found a big box of carded Star Wars figures for a dollar each; but most of them were crappy Episode I Battle Droids.

Heh, I still have a lot of DBZ VHS tapes; mostly some of the movies in big clamshell cases and unedited boxsets of Ginyu, Frieza and Trunks sagas. I even still have my edited Bardock VHS; which I'm pretty sure is the first DB item I ever bought.

Didn't your SBC bootleg SS Trunks come from a garage sale?
