I love this line.....intact it is the one that got me into collecting DBZ figures.... sad to see this one end. Would have liked an Adult Gohan and Cell... Don't be. Probably is just horse hat. It's not confirmed officially and they keep announcing figures for other franchises too.

I've decided to sell my MSP and Scultures collection. I want to do it in bulk so I'm wondering if anyone's interested? If so I will begin snapping photos/getting into details and what not and start a new thread at BST. 5 MSP figures total

Well guys, I wasn't sure if I wanted to collect MSP figures, but I was out running errands today and stopped in a couple shops I hadn't visited in ages just to look around because I had some free time later in the day. I was surprised to actually see MSP stuff at retail, when I assumed where I live that it was online order only type of product. First shop I went to had that cell-shaded looking MSP Super Goku. They were really proud of him too, had him in a glass display case with a price tag of $89.99. I thought to myself, "Well, cool, I finally get to see what the scale is on these in person. That cell shaded look is kinda lame though, and who would pay ninety dollars for it?" So, whatever, I saw one, which was cool, but nothing that got me too excited.
Then I went into another shop on the other side of the plaza, and they had some Dragonball stuff too, but most of it was ridiculously priced too. Figurearts Android 16 for $70, WFC (I think that is what they are called, those little chibi looking guys?) for $18 apiece. (I just shook my head at that for the size), then there was a bunch of other anime stuff messed up on a shelf and I saw a MSP Super Goku behind some Sailor moon stuff. It was $35, so I thought "Yeah, that's decent.." and picked him up. I believe it is the re-issue one, came in a white box with a multi-colored swirl behind him. After I got out to my truck, I was afraid maybe it was that funky cell-shaded one I'd seen in the previous shop, but thankfully that wasn't the case. It is the one with the corrected colors, blue instead of teals like I believe the original release had.
Anyway, I was pretty impressed with the figure for the price. I don't think I am going to try to collect them all like I did with "The Figure Collection" scale guys, but I might pick up a couple of others just for display. This is a pretty cool line.
>> Edit: So I decided I might like to get the Vegeta MSP to go with my Goku. I'm having difficulty finding one at a decent price, and when I do see some at a decent price, I'm unsure if it is a bootleg or not. (I know from reading here that bootlegs of this one are somewhat common.) Any help would be appreciated. I've been out of the collecting game for a long time. I remember way back when I had a whole bookmarks folder of reputable sites that I ordered my SBC guys and such from. I need to know some reputable guys to check out for some of these guys. A lot of the Amazon sellers are straight up scalpers on certain figures. Don't anyone mention Toywiz to me, by the way. I don't know if they are still around or not, but those guys short changed me on more than one occasion back in my Irwin collecting days, and I don't trust them.

I like the hair with a little gold, but too much gold sucks. Agree. When I saw this figure alone in a local anime store I thought the gold looked really nice. When I got mine in the post and put it next to my other MSP figures, it didn't really fit in too well with the other ones. Almost seemed like it was from a different line up of figures.

Can someone please shed some light. What's the difference between the left and middle Goku. I have the middle one and when I ordered on ebay I was actually after the one on the left more with the more turquoise shirt. Is that one a bootleg?

The skin is super tan, the hair is darker, the clothes are slightly different. The one in the middle is the King of Coloring version. Basically, a bunch of artists had a competition to see who could come up with the best repaint, and that version won. The skin, hair, and clothes are all lighter to make it look more like the anime. I personally think it looks a lot better than the original version, but I guess other people would disagree. Neither are bootlegs. The original version is a bit more rare now, though, since it's quite a bit older.

rayyymond The one on the left is the original release of the figure, the one in the middle was a rerelease, it was basically just a premium color version like what you get get with the sdcc S.H. Figuarts DBZ figures

Was quite confused for sometime as I do remember seeing the left one in Japan but I don't speak any jap was lost in translation. Is there a specific name for the tan one as I would like to get this one.

I've seen it go for around $50 before, but it's usually harder to find the original for a decent price than it is the King of Coloring version lol

Is that one a bootleg? far left is the 1st original release (darker skin tone, slightly diff color/shading) the middle one is king of coloring edition (lighter skin tone, slightly diff color/shading) far right is manga dimensions edition if you wish to search up the darker skin one, simply type "master stars piece son goku" it will have diff artwork compared to the white box you currently own
