What do you mean? It was released. It just isn't available in America yet.

What happened to the MSP Ichiban Goku figure that was going to release couple weeks ago ? Japan item only (at this time). It's all sold out, and has been since day one. The cheapest resell prices are The Brush and The Original. Both range between $130-$200. The Tones (Black and white variant) and Two Dimensions (Cel Shade Variant) range between $300 and $500. Gamestop is releasing The Brush in November, in an exclusive window box. Not likely releasing the other variants, but who knows. On the Bandai import Website, Barnes and Nobel and Hot Topic are listed as retailers for the US version as well, but only Gamestop is taking Pre-orders right now. On a related note, I was a bit bummed I missed Ktetsu's listing of the MSP Trunks, and I dove in and bought him from a Hong Kong seller for only a couple dollars more... I got it within a week! Authentic, and in perfect condition (I've only seen the outside of the box, because this is a gift for the hubby). Definitely buying from this seller again. I guess missing Ktetsu's listing was a blessing in disguise.

I always assumed prizes were not exclusive and weird how it sold out cant remember the last time an Ichiban DB prize sold out after just a week. And here I was hoping to get my hands on the two dimension version.

And here I was hoping to get my hands on the two dimension version. Ichiban are always Japan exclusive, and they are won via lottery that people buy tickets for at stores that hold the lotteries. Ichiban are not actually bought from a store-shelf, this is why their prices are higher than the standard figure. Therefore, any listing you see for an Ichiban is technically a resale. However, this Goku imo is one the best Ichiban DB figures ever made, if not one of the best Goku figures ever made. Hands down. The sculpting detail and texturing on him is staggering, and to think that I thought nothing of this figure when I first saw him last year... Boy, was I wrong. The American release will not be lottery, but will be available to buy for about $100. However, it will be a somewhat limited release because it's a one-time run. To be perfectly honest though, Banpresto is a money grabber. It really wouldn't surprise me if they did a re-issue for the American release somewhere down the road.

Thank you for your wonderful insight. When you said the American release will be available for about 100$ is that just the Brush and Original version right ? The only one I'm interested in is the two dimensions one and guess I have to drown my tears because I'll never be able to get it. Nearly 500 bucks is INSANE. Edit: just checked on YA and the price is insane. No way am I paying that lol. Guess I'll just buy the Brush one as it's the 2nd best looking for me at 100 bucks. A friend of mine in Japan was going to buy a couple lotteries for me but I thought nah I'll wait it out and buy it later down the road haha. Great choice. Btw to everyone reading this what's your top 4 versions of this line ?Personally it's Two Dimensions>The Brush>>The Original>>>>>>>>>The Tones.

I really really really hate it when they limit certain stuff to a couple individuals and force people to buy them for ridiculous prices. At least increase supply so you'll still make profit and give that profit away to resellers and give all fans a fair chance at getting their hands on one without having to pay absurdly crazy prices no matter how great the figure is. People are paying over 60k for 03 or 04 that's absurd.

Judging solely off of Richie's video, the 2D version doesn't look good. It just doesn't. My suggestion is do not pay those ridiculous prices for it because it just isn't worth it. I think The Brush looks the best, and that one is eventually going to be available for 90-100 USD when it comes to America. Just wait, guys.
