Welcome to what we hope will become the most organized and fantastic resource for Dragon Ball Figure information, discussion, photos, and more!
It's our Grand Opening! 8/21/13!
CapsulexNike and I officially began building the website/forum DragonBallFigures on 8/12/13.
We started talking about it weeks before.
I began the site and handled all of the creation from the ground up, and then focused on redesigning the appearance and functionality. CapsulexNike focused on content creation for the Checklists. We work together really well because we communicate and don't step on each others' toes, so this partnership has been really easy and natural.
We brought in the moderators one at a time.
First, you can thank Boddah for helping Cap on many of the Checklists as well as other help when we needed a hand. Adrenaline was brought in next and helped organize and create the custom figure section.
More moderators (monkeyb0y, saiyen, Gonstead, BrownDynomite, and iami2eapei2) were brought in and they've helped us get this thing off the ground. Timone317 and PGV are also mods. Timone317 was added yesterday when we were sure he was interested. PGV hasn't been added because he's on vacation and hasn't joined the forum yet.
We chose our moderators based on our level of trust, their activity level on the previous forum, our belief in their willingness to do the job, our belief they would be with us for a long time as fans of DB/Z/GT, where they tended to post/show their obvious interests, and where they were the obvious choice. We wanted the perfect number of mods, and I think we currently have that.
We had our testing day yesterday when 44 DBT members were invited to join. I believe approximately 26 joined. The 44 random members were chosen based on them being active within 24 hours on the publicly visible list on DBT. If you weren't invited yesterday, well... now you know!
