Is Godku just a made up name? I prefer SSJG Goku or that kind of label.

Godku has been used in the fandom for a long time to describe how haxed Goku tends to be in Toei's original animated material, like the films and GT. Now that Toriyama gave us Super Saiyan God, it had merit though. There is nothing official about it. In that capacity, I do believe everything just says Super Saiyan God Goku or just God Goku, the same way the Super Saiyans are occasionally referred to as Super Goku 3. *shrug*
I really only type it because it's shorter. I tend to prefer God Goku when going with a longer option though, because there is nothing tying the form to the blonde Super Saiyans, the same as "Super Saiyan 4" is officially said to only be called that out of convenience and is basically something else entirely.

Also, about Godku needing a new sculpt, it wasn't just the film having Roshi saying that Goku got a little slimmer that tells us it's an in universe fact. The Japanese release comes with the concept art from the movie as extras. I don't have a Bluray player on my computer or these would look better, but you'll just have to make due with a Kanzenshuu member's photos. Goku and Godku aren't really the same in frame or colors. Reusing the same Goku body for him would be horrible.  |

Yup. That's why we pretty much sum up his size to be equal or closer to that of School Gohan in the Buu Saga.

lol Goku looks anorexic and sick in that pic because they are detailing what looks like flesh and bones. Has Goku been on Naked and Afraid and lost 35 pounds in 21 days?  I personally consider SSG basically pandering to the audience's wallet. I think they made Goku skinnier so all those skinny teenagers can cosplay as SSG Goku. I'm skinny too, so even I could be SSG Goku . Seems wrong. He looks like Irwin's NBA SS Gohan Adrenaline. Hey look, it's SSG2 Goku... even skinnier  It's funny how the transformation (for the most part) retailors his clothes. You'd think he'd look like he's lost in his clothes that are too big, but the clothes get smaller too. And he gets red shoe laces...  part of me kind of hates SSG when I think about it too much. SS4 was a cool transformation even though I hate watching GT. It would have been neat if they did SS4 like that old figure I made... retains the same clothes, but gets furry. |

The original concept for Super Saiyan God Goku was supposed to be him with buff muscles, hair between SS3 and SS4, and a cape... Toriyama fought to use the current design, which he made, specifically because the transformations were getting so ridiculous with the bigger muscles, more hair, etc. The whole point here is that Goku isn't supposed to look like a god, he's not supposed to look big, impressive and threatening. That's not what the Dragon Ball he wrote is about, though Toei typically missed the point and used characters with giant muscles for some reason... |

I think most people would much rather have a canon version of an older Gohan. Even Jar Jar Binks has more votes than him! I would never expected Future Gohan to be released anyways, but he's my favorite incarnation of the character!

I would vote for Gogeta if they made Janemba  . I don't see a point in having Gogeta without the only villain he fought, and if they made Janemba, I'd really want Gogeta. |
