Yeah, I saw that earlier. He says it's a joke in the description. Seems like a waste of time to me...

Ordered this guy for $90 from imageanime last month. They shipped mine out, but then raised the price to $150!! Whew, dodged that bullet.

Surprisingly SDCC Vegeta goes for much more than Piccolo. Or maybe it's just surprising to me....

No it's surprising to me too. I think there's some mystique behind the Arlian Vegeta. Besides the gashapons, stuff in that scheme have been tough to get. The Jakks version was in a later two-pack that not everyone saw on shelves, the Funko Pop went to Toy Tokyo for NYCC which is by far the worst choice in the way they handle their business, and the Figuarts went through Comic-Con. Vegeta may be more popular than Piccolo, being a Saiyan, Goku's rival in nearest power and Trunk's dad, but for these figures, who wouldn't want the SDCC Piccolo?? It's awesome. If I had to choose which one I'd want it's a Piccolo that appeared throughout the ENTIRE anime over a Vegeta that appeared in like 2-3 episodes.

That's my thought as well. I'd love to have them all, but SDCC Piccolo is the Piccolo is what I'm most familiar with. I suppose I'll feel the same way about Teen Gohan, but the thing is, SDCC Teen Gohan goes for $300+ and the Teen Gohan re-release is $28

Yeah that sucks. I wish the anime ones were cheaper. I caved on the Gohan. I had to have it. I'm a sucker for those colors. All the old DBZ stuff was always painted with a crappy purple and the red sash. The SBC, the FAP, the only figure available in the anime colors was the Super Collection vinyl one that wasn't in scale with anything. It wasn't until Irwin made theirs that it was fixed in the regular scale. So here we are with Figuarts years later and it's the same crap, manga colors only. Whatever, I'm glad I have it, despite dropping like 220 on it.

Just received SDCC Piccolo from BBTS last week. It's a great figure, and looks extremely nice with other FIguarts.

Hi, I am new in these forum but not in collecting these line, I was wondering from the other collectors that got the opportunity to buy this figure when it was released, if bbts sold it in their collector grade or just standard grade, and what was the condition of the other stores that were selling it at that time. Is just that I started collecting this line until 2015, and piccolo sdcc is the only figure that the toy box comes with some sort of defect, for example dents, creases, scraps in the sides and corners, the blister or window is always scratch and dirty, and I am tired of purchasing and reselling it again. If some of you have it new in mint condition I will be interested in purchasing it.

If some of you have it new in mint condition I will be interested in purchasing it. When I volunteered and worked for Bluefin at an anime convention in Dallas, Texas (called A-kon) after Piccolo was the SDCC exclusive, they has SDCC Piccolo for sale at the event. I bought 2 of them for I think $60 each, and I bought the best ones they had. The boxes were ALL scuffed at that event. All of them had scuffs on the clear plastic and maybe other spots too. But I don't know if they were scuffed when they were sold at San Diego or just after that. When people would buy them, I would look through the ones we had and try to give them one that wasn't heavily damaged. I sold both of mine a year or two ago, so I don't own them anymore. But all of the ones we had at that event were damaged in some way. There wasn't a single one that had a box that looked perfect.

I mean, I do have one in 8.5 afa condition, but I want it to be 9.5+, but thanks to you I now know it is going to be impossible, at least I will stop searching, because the other sdcc, i.e. Gohan, goku, and vegeta, were sold in perfect conditions, maybe because piccolos box is big it tends to get more damaged easily. Just out of curiosity, why would you sell a nice figure?, I know it is not perfect but it is the best piccolo I have ever seen in my opinion. Thanks for your answer, I really appreciate it, now I can stop my search.

johnlocke The ones actually at SDCC might have been in better shape. I really don't know. But for whatever reason, all of the ones at A-kon were scuffed. Keep in mind that Dallas, TX and San Diego, CA are really, really far apart. Maybe they were just packed really poorly? All of the other figures we had at the convention were in brown shipper boxes so none of them were messed up. SDCC Piccolo didn't come in a brown shipper box. I sold them because I never opened them and I wanted to get rid of them before a Piccolo 2.0 figure was announced. They still haven't announced one yet or shown one, but it's surely coming in the next year. I think I sold them both for around $120 each last year. Maybe more. I don't remember. You can read about my entire A-kon experience here if you're bored. The pics are all missing for some reason though. dragonballfigures.com/thread/971/kon-dallasI forgot about that. They were selling them for $80 when their website still had them for $60 and nobody would buy any. They sold me two at $60 each I think, just because I worked for them for 3 or 4 days. It doesn't seem like I mentioned the damage on them. Weird. Wish I bought all the Krillins they had. If only I knew he'd be so valuable now...

These figures are skyrocketing in price specially goku sdcc 2011, which is ridiculous. I have always, since my childhood, been collecting from bandai, mostly saint seiya myth cloth, and what I noticed is that bandai will release the same characters in other formats but will never repeat the same representation that they already did, unless they change the line, that was what happened to saint seiya figures. For example if you look at the first goku ssj3, might be the worst in the line, this character did had a new format from another scene, the first being from its battle with fat buu and the latter 2.0 from dragon ball super. Same with vegeta which had the PCE, but it was not the same representation, the first ssj was from the battle with android 19 and the latter with cell. Firstscouter vegeta was based on dragon ball kai and the 2.0 from dragon ball z. With this I want to tell you that piccolo is going to re-appear but maybe in battle damage or with the anime colors so you did great in selling and waiting, since the first release was manga colors.

It has been confirmed by Bandai Tamashii Nations that we are getting a new 2.0 Piccolo this November 2020. Pre-Orders go up on June 1st, 2020. Not a web exclusive either.
