I don't think many would agree with me, but I think shenron would be much better as a statue. Its going to be really difficult to make the necessary amount of articulation points for him to be functional enough. And if they do manage to make him, the huge amount of joints will make him look ugly in my opinion. While on the other hand, a statue will give them the freedom to add much better effects and work much freely on his pose and overall quality.

I agree with u on a jointed shenron looking a little strange but I think they could make him out of rubber like when you take a tie string and dip it in that rubber stuff over and over it gives the tie string shape but it still has all the movement in the world. Shenron would look the best if he were done in this manner. I've seen other toys made the same way kinda like stretch arm strong but with a lot more detail in the body. I know s.h. Would never go this route or at least I doubt they would but this is how I see us getting a shenron that would be seamless and still have all the twisty posing ability we would want in him.

Well if they do this then it'll be great I think but I never imagined that the method I understood was used for relatively high end products.

There some high end seamless products, but Tamashii don't use this method. You guys should seriously pick up one of the Ichiban Kuji Shenrons. Next to the Figuarts prototype

I like the kuji one more tbh. This proves my point of how awesome shenron could be if he's a statue and not articulated. I could only imagine how awesome he would be if he was made as a figuarts zero using the same mold as the kuji. M5 How large is the kuji shenron?

He is about 20 cm when in this crouching pose. I highly highly recommend getting this piece, and can't stress enough! Pretty much every top Kuji prizes of giant characters are amazing pieces, Including the Oozarus without a doubt. The one from 2006 is bigger, but rarer and more expensive. I think that if you are lucky you can still get the 09 Shenron for as low as 3000 Yen in the Japanese market, and probably up to 7000 Yen. The 06 Shenron should be worth I believe anywhere in the range of 10,000-17,000 Yen. myfigurecollection.net/item/14795myfigurecollection.net/item/6447

Yea I remember seeing the 09 one on Manda for about 6000 yen not too long ago and there was also the 06 one but it was selling for 16000! The size you said for the 09 is amazing! I might actually get it after I finish my figuarts fever

I'm currently selling my 06 Shenron, though I have the Chinese bootleg version. The only differences between it and the legit one seem to be lower quality looking dragonballs, slightly less neat paint job, and the addition of a bootleg smell. I don't know if the legit one has a smell, but the bootleg does lol.
