The more I think about it, I don't see why it would be the same figure especially if you say Tamashii likes to fool people that photo is too obvious and with everyone knowing how collectible these are... Their has to be a way to tell the Mexico one from the sdcc one or collectors of loose figures will never know which one it came from... It just sounds too unprofessional to me

In all honesty, and I'm not saying this because I already have it, but don't you think unveiling a figure that we've already seen a month ago seems a little... Dissapointing... Lame... Unsurprising... Ect. I mean it is exciting for those who want it but it's also SDCC, the biggest comic con, doesn't it seem like they aren't taking it seriously and people who don't collect the figures but check out what's new would be like eh already saw that one, looks like they're slacking... It kind of would lower my view on the company and just say there's no trusting when it comes to the almighty dollar like everything else. I remember when yugioh cards were worth a ton of money, the originals... Till they decided to reprint every good card as commons in a later set to milk the money... Now Magic The Gathering on the other hand was different, sometimes they reprinted a card worth a good amount but it never killed the value of it. I just would hate this company to turn into a yugioh lol

It does seem most likely to be, but now that I'm thinking about it, it wouldn't be hard to change the symbol on the same figure so what if it's the king Kai kanji or turtle hermit and the Emphasis on the "go" kanji for Mexico was actually the biggest hint, it would be cool to have different saga gokus available at certain events so if you collect them all you'll have every version of goku while Tamashii would continue with their trend of not having the same exact figure and making people scepticle about exclusives being available other then the event or what's been happening with the whole exclusive figure vs box discussion

The Trunks head is the most impressive thing I've seen come of a bootleg. He will forever be in my collection until Tamashii ever gives us an official one. I can't get the hair piece to fully go over the head tho if it's tilted down you can't see but if it's up there's a little gap

These are impressive I just got those today, the trunks head is sharp and jagged it hurts lol and it is a little hard to get together but they look good and if I'm not mistaken I think I read that the first datong Vegeta had non shaded tips on the feet but these new ones have shading

Yeah I think this thread has been helpful well prior to the arguing. bbarta89 I'm glad you got it I hope you enjoy. As for everyone elses opinion and input I appreciate that as well. I am not a 12 year old with no money as most aren't kids on this forum as a thread already proved this. I can most certainly afford this figure and to be honest I would have purchased it already if not for the hints of its release as the SDCC which people in forum so graciously informed us all of the possibility. This will most likely save me several hundreds of dollars. If it doesn't end up being the SDCC exclusive ok so I may pay what 100 dollars more then its currently high price? But if it is the SDCC exclusive I will pay what 500-600 dollars less for it? I mean thats too much less to ignore even for someone with deep pockets. Especially since mexico goku price will most certainly decline due to it being SDCC as well(if it is). Also keep in mind that all I have said is only "my" point of view. I just want to thank all for their inputs because of this I was able to make a educated decision/guess when to buy this goku. bbarta89 maybe you do not appreciate others opinion since it makes you regret your purchase (only guessing)? I say don't worry about it man just enjoy your goku whether its SDCC or not. If you end up losing some money over buying the mexico goku as opposed to sdcc then who cares? Its very little money in the long run and mexico goku will be 100% likely to reach that price point again. I am new to this forum and to be honest I'm liking the people and wealth of information I have learned about DBZ news past and present! I didn't say I regret my purchase, how could I, I've gotten the best deal so far on it. Which makes me curious to know... How many people including yourself would buy a mexi goku for $475 right now, not for resale but to keep. Are you talking about the price you'd pay for it currently at $800-1000 or would you take the risk if the sdcc will be 2-300 or not come out at all. Serious question just wondering if it was in your face right now what would all do?

Well actually I just posted it as a joke... Because it won't be an exclusive since it is was already an exclusive and it being rereleased makes it not exclusive at all... would just like to say that isn't really how it would work...figures tend to be produced in one production run. When the SDCC is revealed it won't be a matter of them releasing the Mexico exclusive again (giving the figure another production run), but getting the portion of the run with the SDCC packages out to San Diego. chances are this is just the SDCC exclusive being extended to another region, which as I've said before, can be nothing but a good thing. and, as other people have said, the Galeria exclusive will still be exclusive just because of the box. Major difference? No, but there are certainly collectors out there that will have to have the box, so the Galeria version is still technically an exclusive. Which event got the reboxed other half of production run on the sdcc exclusive 2014 Vegeta? My point was it hasn't been done before and the Vegeta has the same marking on the box but sdcc 2014 instead of galeria 2015... So up until now if it is the same figure, they weren't talking about the box.

Well the dude who was selling it had 3 he bought at target for a school project that didn't pan out, which luckily for him was a good thing because they would have been painted... But his first one sold for $136+$7 shipping, his second, which I bought, sold for the same exact price... His last one which was actually in worse condition then the rest because of small corrosion on the battery terminal (it was still in good shape though) sold for $178 + $7 shipping... Looks like you got a pretty good deal then. I can't bring myself to dump $140 on the Saiyan pod right now personally, but that is more a issue of space to show it off. I have very little shelf space currently! Looks awesome though for it's age. Hope you don't mind me hotlinking the photos for you, it's just easier to view instead of using the album and going backwards. Feel free to copy/paste my post contents into your opening post instead and I'll delete the images out! No it's good you did I haven't played with it much so thanks for doing that... And yea I figured one in good shape I'd try my luck bidding on since I didn't see any others on eBay or online in general so I wanted to get it while I could

Yea I noticed it can go for a little or a lot I saw one sold that was cracked with scratches for $100 but this one is in pretty great condition so I don't mind the up charge for good condition and it also came with the Vegeta figure it originally comes with so that's a plus

Well actually I just posted it as a joke... Because it won't be an exclusive since it is was already an exclusive and it being rereleased makes it not exclusive at all... Plus I just joined this forum and the figure ended up coming that day so I posted it... I've bought and still buy all different expensive dragon ball collectibles not limited to just figuarts... So I saw a thread posted the figure I just got and all I hear is about is the price and bitching about it with only one or two actually being happy for someone that was able to get one... Because price wise I paid the least of anyone but put that aside, it's not easy to get even for $800 the buy it now ones for $600 sold instantly and the only other buy it now was for $2000 which means you'd have to beat out the people bidding in a 6 day time period but also realize it'll go up to $1000... That's a pain in the ass... You'd think you guys would want more people to join this community but everyone is too concerned about getting theirs when there's literally nothing you can do because it hasn't even been announced yet, that they don't appreciate anything else. Which makes this look like a forum full of jerks. Posting a image of your figure with a caption that he won't be the SDCC exclusive "As a joke", means you haven't taken stock of how the threads tone has been. If you didn't mean it as a trolling post, you did really poorly at framing it. There are a lot of people who are just going overboard though. I am very happy for you that you got yours, and that you got it at a DECENT price. I wouldn't spend that much on it, but that's my choice. Also if it wasn't the exclusive, it wouldn't really affect me. I'd just move on. The vitriol that has been thrown about in this thread though is staggering in both camps. I mean, if we want to talk about overreacting, case in point: LOL! Rubbing in salt in a wound? When? How? I just said it doesn't matter to me if its apparently "sloppy seconds" which makes no sense by the way as its like iphone being exclusive AT&T and then was available at all other retailers, so were they "sloppy seconds" too? lol! But I said it doesn't matter to me if its a exclusive or not but as long as its available at SDCC. If so, then hopefully it'll come with everything like it, gi color, GO symbols and extra face. And with that I won't be spending anything close to what he spent and who ever paid more for it. Thats it! How is that rubbing salt? lol! Never once insulted him in any way, all I said that hopefully its avaliable at SDCC in either a exclusive or not exclusive, as long as its available which results that I won't have to pay anywhere near what he paid and others.
Regardless of the outcome, in the end, I'm more looking forward to see the advanced repaints at SDCC than seeing a figure that we already know about being the exclusive that they have there. Will I buy the exclusive, no matter what it is I'll VERY likely pick it up. It was a funny picture of a classic pose with a twist on the saying, and it wasn't lying... Because it is true, it won't be an exclusive figure... And it was posted well after, if you can't appreciate the humor well...
