Could someone be so kind as to take a pic of a Irwin or Jakks Goku next to a Dragon Star Goku or Vegeta figures would be fine too. If you have figuarts , Dragon Stars and a FiguRise Model that would be awesome to see a comparison pic of the 3 lines.

I have seen that myself too..... but I am way too paranoid to say it first lol. Hot Toys are the best action figures though I lost my mind when I saw the Rambo III figure from Hot Toys.
I always chalked it up to collectors with kids or collectors without.... Please don't blast me if you have awesome toys and kids, good for you and your kids.

I think the fact that their are 3 styles of figures in what seems to be 6" scale is a mistake. I have yet to purchase a Figuarts, DS, or FiugRise model but they all seem to be in the 6 or 7 inch scale or their is the 3 or 4 inch options I have seen like Shodo and the Karate Fighter rip offs I can't remember the names of off the top of my head. But there doesn't seem to be any 5 or 5.5 options available. Since the 3 lines of 6" scale figures I mentioned all seem to feature lots of articulation why not a slightly smaller kid friendlier option?
I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old that both love DBZ already. My 4 year old sings the theme song in Japanese for God's sake and I flunked Japanese in Highschool. There's a market for kids to get back into or introduced to DBZ. I got my 4 year old a ton of DBZ stuff and a DBZ back pack to put it all in and all the figures are the same figures I had available to me when the show kicked off on Cartoon Network back in the 90's. How is it that the only toys suitable for a kid or that are even affordable are still collectibles from over 20 years ago. I know it's been said before but their needs to be a 5" scale line of DBZ figures at a kid friendly price point $12 - $15.
I rant because I hope these kinds of sites get visited by toy execs.
MY 4 YEAR OLD SINGS IN JAPANESE CAUSE HE LOVES DBZ!!!

Why is this always such a topic for argument lol. I remember I got some people mad because I was hoping for a product like this with a cheaper price point like Marvel Legends and saying the Figuarts are too expensive. TMNT, DC, Marvel, Star Wars, and more all have several lines of figures in different sizes and price points but DBZ has to be astronomically expensive and imported from Japan to be worth buying.... Why?
I like Figuarts figures but they aren't perfect either, so either I can spend $20 on something less than perfect or spend $100 on something that's less than perfect..... decisions decisions.
Buy what you want and can justify paying for, but why the hate over which plastic people I like more than the plastic people you like more. We are all right in our opinions.

I think the Irwin snap together model kits were extremely underrated. Perfect Cell looks amazing and Dr. Gero cool too. Not to mention you can display over 20 additional figure versions by changing their parts. Also the pieces all interconnect with the Bandai and AB model lines, which introduce quite a few new characters. They also display well with academy and other model lines to make quite an impressive collection. Can you give some examples please of how the different model parts from the non Irwin kits can be combined with other models. If you have a model kit collection I'd love to see a pic, also I didn't know Dr. Gero got a model kit. I really think all 3 Power Up figures are outstanding. Piccolo, Super Buu and Vegito have great sculpts and just enough articulation that with the dynamic sculpting offers some really fun posing and play options. Irwin managed to do something that only ToyBiz and Kenner have done before or since to my knowledge and that's provide figures that can be posed and played with while still haveing action features that fit the characters and that don't get in the way of posing. You know like a toy that can be played with lol.

I need the Saiyan armor for Trunks the green top for Trunks and if you have it in your heart the saiyan armor for Vegeta. I remember somebody posted they were looking for the medallions too if you wanted to sell those to that person.

I really like the striking Z fighters Trunks but not the limited articulation because of the action gimmick.

Both of those look like great ideas. I was considering the UFS Trunks for the legs too since I've sen a lot of people make some really cool stuff using those figures.

Has anyone had any luck making a custom Trunks in the Broly movie outfit with the tank top and no jacket long haired SS Trunks? In the Irwin Jakks scale.
Also I was wondering if what anyone thought of making some of the obscure Korean and Taiwanese DragonBall live action movie villains but in the animated style?

I considered asking him but I want him to make the most money off his stuff and not have me low ball him for $20 or $30 less than it's worth lol. I don't really like having figures that are worth more than $40 out of the box because I'm worried I will accidentally break them. I have some Marvel Legends that I want to sell for just that reason too. So hopefully one day I can find a scuffed up one for cheap or one that is missing a small part I can repair then I can have it in my collection guilt free and even get to customize it to fit in with my SS4 Vegeta. I do appreciate the heads up though.
If anyone has any beater figures or cool parts I am interested in buying since I just lost out on a large lot on eBay.

Has anyone ever tried turning a Jakks SS4 Vegeta torso into a SS4 Goku to match the scale better with the rest of the line since the Jakks GT figs scale jumped? I guess I'm asking can you take the larger Jakks DBZ Goku waist and combine it with a GT SS4 Vegeta torso I realize their would be some more work involved like modifying a base form goku head with more hair and ther changes... but I think it could work. On a similar note how does the Giochi Perozzi "don't know sorry" SS4 Goku scale with jakks DBZ figures?
