I think it's a decent idea to rerelease base form Goku, however, something about that low price point puts me on edge about the QC. If I've learned anything from this year, it's A. keep your old figures in good shape and B. Tamashii does not give a crap anymore. What I mean is how the new figures as a whole are turning out. I'm aware of the improvisation of S.H.Figuarts as a whole, but quite a bit of figures (not including Kaioken Goku) were mediocre at best. My only figure I own from this year (minus Kaioken) would be the new Gohan, which next-to-everyone enjoys and really is for the logic of "Oh, the old product is bad because it's old and new is new, so it's good." which is heavily exhibited by figure reviewers. I'm not saying all modern Figuarts suck, like I said, I only own Gohan and Kaioken (mainly because I'm hunting down the figures I never got a chance to own) from this year, however I'd gladly give the newer releases a chance (as contradictory as that seems), as some do genuinely seem like they're of decent quality. Same goes for 2.0 Goku, I'll give him a chance to see if he's worth it or not. Now, more on why the price scares me, first off, it's incredibly cheap for Figuarts. Especially with how Golden Freeza was $31-$39 and wasn't 100% the best figure ever, with how his neck pops out whenever I try to switch his heads out, with his main body splitting in two along with his tail popping out, while I do get that he was a smaller figure and how it was bound to happen, this QC issue still scares me for 2.0 Goku. Though, like I said, I'm willing to give him a fair shot to reach and/or exceed my albeit low expectations. Apologies for the length of this (though seeing it as I'm writing this on a 3DS, it appears more lengthy than it is), just wanted to get my thoughts out there about my concerns (sorta) on the new Goku and 2017 releases thus far (for me at least).

Well, you have a ton of Figuarts. Though, out of curiosity, how were you able to afford three SDCC '11 Gokus? That I'd imagine would've costed a ton considering his current retail value.

Also... Dear Tamashii, B O I . What went wrong with these faces? Kind of almost as bad as BD Gohan (with derpy eyes on almost every bloody face). At least you didn't bring the urinated pants shading back.
Sincerely, LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE FIGUARTS DRAGON BALL COLLECTOR THAT HAS SEEN THIS REVIEW.

I'd probably go with the original Trunks, in spite of the price. eBay has some good listings, though. Like this one seems to be. www.ebay.com/itm/S-H-Figuarts-Dragon-Ball-Z-Trunks-Bandai-Action-Figure-Excellent-Complete/222221879164?hash=item33bd74c77c:g:3iAAAOSwgZ1Xs-7~(And don't worry, I don't plan to go full schmuck on you and buy it from under you. I've much more plans instead of buying a figure I already own) Though, if you want a cheaper Trunks, possibly the PC one? Just be careful, as the PCE Trunks has stiffer joints and is prone to breaking at the head. Also, (this doesn't matter which release you get, it can still happen on both) Trunks' sheath is known to break on both versions if you peg it into his back normally. The way I'd recommend keeping Trunks from breaking at the sheath is just to not put it into his back, rather on his shoulder as a floating piece (like how Goku's belt is).

Only just realized, I forgot to say that the reason why this would be a pain is because Goku's arms are bound to fall off in animation.

A quick update (albeit sudden): I was able to get someone else to assist in fixing SS3 Goku, though now his arms will fall off at the slightest touch. At least his loose waist is kinda sorta fixed? I don't bloody know. Part of me says to buy another one (which puts a dent in my plans to buy SDCC '15 Goku and SS Vegeta) or do what I was planning and buy 2015 Goku and SS Vegeta together. The reason I say it's a problem is because I plan to get back into stop motion animation (I used to do stop motions from 2014-2016) and I intend to have Goku go Super Saiyan 3 in it. I don't own 2.0 SS3 Goku, though, even if (hypothetically speaking) I did own him, it still wouldn't translate from Super Saiyan Goku (normal ver) to SS3, as the gi is not going to translate consistently. Apologies for how long this is, as I figured a more in-depth explanation would help a little better with this kind of thing.

A quick word of advice to all SHF collectors that own/want to own SS3 Goku 1.0: SHORTER VER.: DO NOT SCREW AROUND WITH GOKU'S WAIST OR YOU WILL PAY THE PRICE! Whether it be putting actual PHYSICAL HARM upon your hands or buying a new Goku altogether, the point is, it's a lose-lose situation.
MUCH LONGER PARAGRAPH VER.: Please, do not move the waist around like how I did. I moved mine too much and am currently trying to fix it. Sufficed to say, it is NOT easy at all. For those unaware, his head is on a different joint and henceforth, cannot come off. My Super Saiyan 3 is currently in pieces waiting to be fixed, with his neck, waist, and lower torso popped apart and various items, such as notebook paper and duct tape attached to him in various points where he has loosened up. Both my hands are cramped up due to intensive strain put onto them, along with my ring finger now having a bloody cut on it due to the sharp tips in his hair possibly cutting it open.

And the wait begins for Freeza (yes, that's how I spell it, deal with it) 1.0's price to go down. Though, I probably will still try to pick this one up, but the new Goku looks much better in my opinion.

I'm not happy that he's huge, but I'm not happy kid Goku is huge with a bobble head sized head either. They look ridiculous with the other Figuarts figures. To be honest, I was expecting them to be horrendously out of scale with each other. It's Tamashii, what can you expect?

If you made a few of these and it was at a good price, I'd most definitely buy one. That's looking incredible. Though, the only flaws I was to notice was the fact that he doesn't have the Ginyu Force symbol on the front and his fingers aren't painted at the tips, other than that, it looks cool.

anyone tried head switching with any of the other gokus? just wanna know if its compatible. No, it is not compatible at all. The head is on an entirely new joint and switching it out is impossible, as the joint is similar to that of the original, however it now has a metal pin going through the hair where the head connects, even when you pop the neck off, you still can't switch it out, as the neck is on an invert of the old peg (where instead of a peg going into the neck, there's a peg in the neck that connects to the chest area. So, unless you have a spare Awakening Goku and something to pop the chest apart with, no you can't switch the heads out with other Gokus.
