So I'll freely admit right off that this is going to be yet another thread of bizarre musings from me, but it's been buzzing around my mind for a bit and I thought "why not?"
As everyone here is probably well aware, throughout the series there are 7 magic Dragonballs, each with a different number of stars on them. The association between main character Son Goku and the Four Star Ball, a memento of the late Grandpa Gohan is pretty well established in the series... it's this dragonball that leads Bulma to him, it's this dragonball he seeks during the red ribbon arc, and it's this ball that his son wears in his hat at the start of DBZ. Even the upcoming Kid Goku figure is promoted holding that Dragonball.
But then I got to thinking... if we associate Goku with the 4 star dragonball, do we associate a specific ball with any other characters? I, for instance, would say the 2 star ball could easily be associated with Bulma, since it's the first ball she finds and what starts the entire quest. Does anyone associate a specific star ball with a specific character or event?
"Pilaf is most commonly associated with the One-Star Dragon Ball, as he was the one in possession of it during Goku's first two quests for them. Even in Dragon Ball GT, when he discovers the Black Star Dragon Balls, the One-Star Ball is the one he picks up." -DragonBall Wikia
