Even though Nin Nin Games are going to take payment for Shenron and SSJ3 Goku I just noticed before commiting to buy that it says "notify me when available" does that mean they don't have any in stock and me paying now will just secure me the figs when they come back in?
It means that these items are in pre orders. You can pre order them and they will debit you later.
The "Notify me" button is for you to be noticed when the item is actually available in stock. As for all ecommerce websites.
Yeah I took the plunge and went for it. Money has now been taken so just waiting for release now

The hype is REAL! I honestly cannot begin with how excited I am! To put it briefly, imagine how excited Goku would be if he were to fight with someone or something INSANELY powerful and afterward he were to get a ridiculous meal. That's about how excited I am for Shenron.
Nin-Nin is usually fine to order from, the only issue I've ever had is they somehow forgot to ship one my pre-orders for two weeks after billing me and it wasn't until I sent them a help ticket that they noticed. They said "Sorry! Here's your tracking number!" And it arrived within a week.
BigBadToyStore only offers store credit too, so I don't get why anyone would be upset that Nin-Nin refused to do an actual refund for and instead offered full value as store credit PLUS an extra $10 for something that wasn't their fault.. That's free shipping right there, and their prices are usually good anyways.

So while the figure is great and I love having it on my shelf... Can I just list one nitpick I have which really annoyed me?
That base is awful and it was actually worse in person. It's not a huge deal considering how great the rest is, granted, but the solid yellow explosion is cheap (at least make it clear yellow) and the fact that the dragonballs are A. a solid piece and B. Don't even have stars on them is annoying.

No. They glow, but I've checked multiple clips and the stars are still faintly visible on the balls, just hard to see because of the glow. The only time the stars are not present at all is during the time the dragonballs are turned to stone after the wish is granted.
It looks a bit awkward, but that might be due to not having enough supports of specific heights. Overall, it's not something I'd be tempted to do. This guy added an additional support and it still wasn't enough.
