No, you're looking at old pictures or something.

Very nice to see you have finally completed your DVD collection. Awesome work. Now that you have them how do you rate the earlier orange brick sets?

I actually haven't watched them yet lol.
I don't think it's possible that they could be worse than Season 1 on blu-ray no matter what flaw they may have. The audio on that is so annoying it's unwatchable for anyone with good hearing.
If nothing else, Rock the Dragon covers most of those episodes, and honestly, even though Ocean cut a lot of footage from the show, Funimation's dub of several of those early episodes is a chore to watch. Not entertaining and lacking background music.

Great dvd collection, bran! The 1988 traffic safety and fire safety are fantastic, definitely give them a watch anyone who haven't seen. I think I have all the media of the anime, ova, specials, movies, ost. Just missing GT, never bothered with it since i'm not a fan. and the telephone interactive video game, for completion sake I should get those sometime. The World of Dragonball Z special from FUNimation is also great. Need to give the obscure live action films a watch sometime too, i've only seen partially the unofficial 1989 chinese film 'The Magic Begins'.

I can vouch for him and say this was an obstacle to complete. Bad sellers and multiple sets, lots of resale, but in the end, you got it all!

Yep, I didn't mention that I had to go through several bad/unfortunate transactions to complete this collection of discs. Here's the entire history.
ROCK THE DRAGON BOX SET
No problems whatsoever. Ordered brand new from familyvideo.com
BLU-RAY LEVEL SETS
No problems whatsoever. Ordered used and "like new" from two different sellers on ebay, both arrived great. Had to buy 1.1 and 1.2 together from one seller because he didn't want to split them up. Sold my extra Level 1.2 to Supervegeta111.
ORANGE BRICKS
Bought 3 of the orange bricks for an absolute steal. $16 including shipping. They were nearly perfect except for 1 damaged disc in one of them. I replaced the damaged disk with one I got off ebay for $5. I liked the orange bricks, so I was hooked... I was going to sell my random stuff (Season 1 on blu-ray and other random dvds) and get orange bricks. To save money and get the best deal, I decided to buy a full set and then resell the ones I didn't need.
Bought a set of orange bricks for $150 and free shipping that were said to be in very good condition, but they were not. They were in very poor condition. Ebay sided with me in the dispute because of the pictures I uploaded as the set was definitely not "very good" condition and the words "adult owned" were definitely absolutely worthless. Adult owned pieces of worn out, refurbished crap. Returned and got my money back after an ordeal.
Bought a set of orange bricks for $125 and free shipping that were said to be in very good condition, and they probably would have been if the fool didn't shove them all into too small of a box. They took about 9 days if I remember right to arrive to me, and that was by priority mail. Why? Because the box actually got stuck in the postal service's machinery and burst open, spilling the cases out of the box. It wasn't the postal service's fault, other than allowing the fool to ship them in a flat rate priority box he made look pregnant. Some arrived with damage. I asked for and got $20 back after a minor ordeal through ebay's dispute thing. I said that I at least wanted enough back to replace the season that got damaged most. The only part of it that was an ordeal is he refunded me by e-check and it took over a week for it to process (well, and the fact it took over a week to receive and the tracking had it bouncing all over from place to place due to it busting open). I don't remember if all the booklets were included... I think they were. Other than the frustration, this actually went ok.
I kept that set, and from that set, I kept most of my original $17 lot of 3, which mostly happened to be the cases that got damaged in the mail. Resold the three extra sets WITH ACCURATE CONDITION DESCRIPTIONS for $15 each I believe.
BLUE BRICKS
Saw a set of "like new" blue bricks listed for buy it now $90 with best offer. I asked if he'd accept $70 plus $8.75 shipping and if so I'd pay immediately. He did, and I did. I ended up with an entire set that is absolutely mint for an absolutely amazing price, with only one problem--no booklets at all. Oh well.
LIME/YELLOW BRICKS
Bought the complete series of DBGT for $28 from my phone. Due to my own stupidity, I didn't verify if there was a slip cover or booklets included, as there were none. The pictures were accurate and so was the description. I didn't complain as there was nothing for me to complain about.
Bought a replacement set for $32, that was listed as "like new" with only ebay's stock photo. They didn't write a description I don't think. I paid immediately and asked to be refunded if the set didn't have the slip cover or booklets. I assumed it would be like new, but it was not. First of all, the moron sent this very fragile set in a priority box almost 3 times bigger than the set. They didn't use ANY packing material, no padding at all. It just bounced all over in the box on its trip from NJ to TX. It arrived with cracks and chunks of plastic missing, but good discs. However, it was listed as "like new" and didn't include one of the booklets and had no slip cover, which ebay clearly says have to be included when you list as "like new". Ebay sided with me so much in the dispute that they refunded me my money (including shipping price) and told me I didn't have to send the DVD set back.
I sold the damaged set ebay told me I could keep for $22.
I am still waiting for the first set to sell.
I purchased a 3rd set of DBGT for $35 that included the DVDs for the Lost Episodes saga. This lime/yellow brick ended up being like new and I'm happy.
I'm still trying to sell the 5 Lost Episodes dvds.
BLU-RAY MOVIES
Not a single problem on ANY of the transactions. Unbelievable.
Won Tree of Might/Lord Slug for free in the 2008 Scene Stealers contest from Minigt.
Bought the Dead Zone/World's Strongest with the Cooler movies as a lot I think for around $30 I think. Ended up needing to sell one of them because I had two eventually. Sold it for $20.
Bought a lot of Dead Zone/World's Strongest, History of Trunks/Bardock, and Android 13/Bojack for $35.
Bought a lot that had the Broly triology with old DVDs of Return of Cooler and Fusion Reborn for $20. Sold the two old DVDs for like $12.
Bought Fusion Reborn/Wrath of the Dragon for $19.
This was a major waiting game that took about 6 months of luck, as these don't come up for sale often, and when they do, they are normally $25 to $35+ each.
DB MOVIE 4 PACK
Ordered it new from Amazon because it's actually cheaper on there than used ones on ebay. No problem.
DBZ SEASON 1 ON BLU-RAY
I no longer have this, as I hated it, but it's worth mentioning because of the epic deal I got on it. It was brand new, still in the shrink wrap, and I got it for $13 including shipping, buy it now. I hated it, so I resold it for $27.

Wow, great DVD collection there. Do you have the crossover special burned as well? That's the only other thing I know of.

ToadKart, here's a full list of everything Japanese that has never been dubbed into English as far as I know: Goku's Fire Brigade Goku's Traffic Safety The World of Dragon Ball Z (actually, this was English, but I don't think it was released by Funimation on DVD...?) Episode of Bardock The Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans (originally called or nicknamed Gaiden, and it's footage from the video game) The Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyan (the remake, which is actually quite different) Televikko Atsumare: Goku's World (this is the telephone video game thing... I actually really like this...) Extreme Battle! The Three Great Super Saiyans 1992 special (it was a broadcast TV special and it's just clips from the movies with Goku and Gohan wearing white tuxedos between clips) or Looking Back at it All The Dragon Ball Z Year-End Show! 1993 (Cell saga TV clips, this time it's adult Gohan, Goten, and Goku naked in a bath together talking to Chi Chi between clips) Dragon Box Music Video special (it's a pretty bad music video that was included as an extra with the Japanese Dragon Box... barely worth watching, it looks like a fan-made AMV or whatever) the first eye drops commercial with Gohan, Krillin, and Oolong the later eye drops commercial with Goten and Kid Trunks Legends on Sega Saturn commercial Ultimate Battle 22 on Playstation commercial (There are probably other commercials that exist, but these are the only ones I was willing to burn to DVD to watch) (There's definitely stuff at the beginning of video games I didn't include, simply because I barely know anything about the games that came out after the PS1.) Yo! Son Goku Returns!! DBZ x One Piece x Toriko Special Battle of Gods and a bunch of Dragon Ball Heroes trailers exist There's also some other stuff that's so hard to track down that I didn't even know it existed before today like... Several Dr. Slump appearances of Goku... Related to DB/Z/GT there's also the Chrono Trigger OVA and the 1996 movie Super Kid. Chrono Trigger has characters designed by Akira Toriyama, the special is around 20 minutes long, and it's hilarious. Super Kid is a movie almost 2 freakin' hours long and it's basically a rip off of DB/Z. I've sat through it one time and probably will not ever again. It's dreadful, and a total copyright/trademark infringement case. Warning, if you watch it, you will not like it. You will feel like you wasted 2 hours of your life. In fact, you will probably feel like you wasted two hours of your life if you are just able to sit through the extremely long trailer at the beginning of it! Worth noting, it was dubbed by Ocean, so you'll recognize Bulma's voice and some other characters.

Very nice DVD collection. I really like that you burned a lot of the unreleased DB stuff and made your own cover-art. I burned a DVD myself, and thought about making a cover for the hell of it, but never got around to it.

I like your DVD collection as well. Have you compared the Blu-Ray movies to the DVD movies? I remember you saying that the new Blu-Ray DBZ seasons have horrible audio, do the movies have that as well?

The blu-ray movies are several years old and supposedly the same as the steel book versions of the movies (ones with the same artwork on the covers) just better quality. I really like the blu-ray movies.

I'm getting like that too. You should see the massive pile of figures still in their boxes in the middle of my room that I still haven't decided where to display yet.

Another DVD Question, did you ever get the movie packs that are similar to the DB movie packs? I'm thinking about getting those to match the DV movie pack I have, but not if they're too inferior.
