I've been lurking around this forum for quite a while now, and I never really had an opinion on the Premium Color figures' hair. At all. I felt the colors did the job and the figures themselves looked very nice. I had nothing to complain about--until yesterday. I had decided a while back to clear off a shelf on one of my bookshelves and create a Figuarts diorama. Right now, it's the Super Saiyans vs. the Androids. Next, I'll throw up my girlfriend's and daughter's Sailor Moon figures. After that, who knows? So, naturally, with flexibility of scene in mind, I purchased a color-changing LED strip. First thing first, I quickly and roughly taped up a background and led strip, purchased a bit of scenery and placed them in the display along with some figures. (It's still in an unfinished state in these pictures, so please excuse the roughness.) Satisfied with the appearance under a warmer light, I started playing with the light settings to get an idea of the kinds of scenes I could get. At first, I tried a genki dama lighting (warm for the scene with a blueish tint) and was shocked at what I saw. The premium hair started to take on an orange hue! Curious, I decided to test just pure light blue. The hair turned brown. After seeing this, I decided to crank up the blue and the hair practically turned red. Although in the picture, it appears blue. This problem isn't just limited to this spectrum, it carries across the entire rainbow, with the hair pigments either reflecting the LED color or interacting with then reflecting the LED color. Meanwhile, Awakening Goku's hair looks amazing, almost blazing, across the entire spectrum. Alright people, pay 200 or whatever dollars it is for the original ones (if you don't have them) so you can pose them with amazing lightning effects!!! Don't pay 40/50 bucks for the PC ones, it's not worth it because it will look, uh, oh yeah bad on Frieza's purple blast lightning!

Pretty cool post. I kind of hate the hair colors on the Premium ones anyway. They are too yellow.

I feel the hair is one solid color with little to no shading at all. I Dint care much for it. Which is why I am against the hair color for the ssj ssg vegeta hair
