I'll check the thread out. It's Spring Break for Texas schools right now, so I already know I can't devote as much time as I did last tournament, and there will be players who don't have school or work, and they can probably play all day long.
I don't have any of the cards that are good for nuking as far as I know. I could do that with a PHY team, but I lack Xeno Trunks.
I'm on difficulty level 15 now, and doing just fine with my old team. I sure wish I farmed gems and increased the SA of my Majin Vegeta one more time though. Damn.
Read it. I can't build that team or anything similar. I lack half of the cards he mentions. Also, I don't have many Tree of Might Fruits this time, so I might not be able to do too many difficulty 20s this time.

Doing some math based on my old post, because I want to add STR TUR SS Goten to my team as a potential replacement for SS Future Gohan since Goten will change PHY ki to Rainbow ki, which is better than ki links... I think. Also going to throw SS Vegito into this mix, because last tournament I swapped him in for Vegito so he could tank when I met all INT teams.

Prepared for Battle (ki +2): SS Future Gohan, Vegito, SS Gotenks, SS2 Goku, AGI SS Vegito Golden Warrior (ki +1, enemy def -2000): SS Future Gohan, SS2 Goku, Majin Vegeta, SS Gotenks, STR SS Goten, AGI SS Vegito Fused Fighter (ki +2): Vegito, SS3 Gotenks, SS Gotenks, AGI SS Vegito Over in a Flash (ki +3): SS3 Gotenks, Majin Vegeta... so other than Fused Fighter and Over in a Flash... SS3 Gotenks has no other links for ki with my team... so I have to make sure he's paired up with Majin Vegeta, SS Gotenks, or Vegito

I'm about twenty wins in. I could see how Majita would be a huge help. I have Xeno Trunks but he isn't Dokkaned. I do have Str and Phy Broly along with SV. So I can handle business without killing all of my good items.
I'm sticking with the plan to tackle the harder ones on Sunday. It's like gambling. I need to get call can before I screw it up. Lol.
It's hilarious how the ranking jumps by the thousands. No room for comfort. My local ranking stays within the top ten.
I played for at least 7 hours yesterday. I placed 4581 and 5th locally. At least, that's my place until they adjust things after calculating everything. I ended up getting INT SSR SS Bardock from one of those guaranteed SSR summons and I got INT SSR Metal Cooler from one of my 2 multisummons of the INT banner just to get old kais to raise my Majin Vegeta's SA. I was very happy that many of the gold awakening medal capsules were Supreme Kai and Old Kai. I have 16 and 14 of them now :D.
The Goku Black event started today. 100% Frieza is back too. I played Black one time, just the first level, and got 2 drops of his TEQ card. It is 100% absolute GARBAGE! I'll look it up later on wikia to see what others say, but on my Mono TEQ team, he freaking sucks. Crappy passive.
I only have 7 stones so I don't think I'll be pulling on the Black banner unless stones go on sale.
I ended up editing my tournament team, so I have a slight edit to the items and team. I also want to specify my strategy because I never wrote about it well enough in January to do a good job of informing myself:
So my nearly Mono TEQ team is:
Leader: SS3 Gotenks for best TEQ leader skill (I don't have SSB Goku) Majin Vegeta for attack all TUR SS2 Goku for excellent links and +3 ki passive SS Gotenks for changing orbs Vegito for his attack +25% for the team if he super attacks before them AGI SS Vegito for his counter attack
for prelims: Tree of Might Fruit, Ghost Usher, Whis, Ponytail Bulma for other rounds: Shuu, Ghost Usher, Yemma, Ponytail Bulma
There are some good choices here, here they are in order of preference
Majin Vegeta, nuff said, attack all super attack, but he may have trouble utilizing it without using ki items if you're unlucky with links to other cards TEQ TUR SS2 Goku (if you are lucky enough to have a friend with him) is the 2nd best friend because passive ki +3, and fantastic links AGI SS Vegito for 80% block, and ok links TEQ DBGT SS Trunks for his passive ki +2 SS3 Gotenks because he early super attacks, has a lot of HP, ok links, but the passive does the team no good
Ok choices: TEQ SS3 Vegeta, just because he is TEQ... he doesn't link great INT Buuhan just because he heals the team the more orbs he collects
Gogeta, he can't block, he can barely hurt them, etc. TEQ SSB Goku, his passive tends to hurt my team, he doesn't link well, and he doesn't super attack as hard as choices above Anybody else.
Strategy: I played difficulty 20 every time after the first few rounds unlocked it. Make sure to bring different items ^^^ for prelims than the other 3 rounds. Get as many gold awakening capsules and ki power ups as you can. Ignore everything else except gold item capsules. If there's a Buuhan team in the prelims, try to make him fight the computer until there's only 2 turns left so some of the INT characters will be dead. Regardless of who you are fighting, play ponytail Bulma before anything else, every time you can. Use ghost usher if SS Vegito isn't there to absorb hits. Save Whis/Yemma for the next turn if necessary. I rarely had to use them because I never encountered a mostly INT team this time except one of the bonus chance teams. Only use them if SS Vegito isn't there to take hits or you can't kill the enemy before they hit you. It is ideal to get SS Vegito or Vegito to super attack on the same turn as Majin Vegeta super attacks, so his attack will be 30% stronger. The ideal order is (SS) Vegito, SS2 Goku, Majin Vegeta and all super attack. My Majin Vegeta is SA8, and even with Bulma active, I can't kill everything in 1 turn without (SS) Vegito super attacking first. SA9 would probably do it for most teams, because SA8 kills about 3 and leaves 2 or 3 so close to death that you don't even have to super attack them. The INT ones still require a super attack. What becomes LR Piccolo takes 2 or 3 super attacks more lol. Even with (SS) Vegito super attacking first, I don't always kill everything either. SS3 Gotenks can kill nearly anybody with 1 super attack, so always have him super attack an INT enemy if there is one, or one of the higher HP enemies like Majin Vegeta. If there's one character you can't make super attack, make it SS Gotenks. Even at SA10, he doesn't seem to hit as hard as the others. But his passive is so, so, so important to my team.
100% Frieza event guide:
A Mono TEQ team works just fine. Bring your best TEQ cards led by SS3 Gotenks and get a friend with SS3 Gotenks, LR Goku, or SS Gogeta. It's pretty easy. Bring Senzu, Dende, Baba, and Ghost Usher. I tend to go through 1 Baba and 2 Senzu each time I play. I would recommend bringing 5 of your best TEQ cards and 1 TEQ that will benefit from experience points. You don't need to bring Nail. I ended up dying and getting game over the one time I let him get super attacked by Frieza, so I don't even understand that. Screw that crap, just Baba Frieza and he won't super attack.
The LR Androids need 7 medals from this event. 100% Frieza takes 10 medals.

Fight Against Hope and Despair came back today until I think the 29th, and if you don't already have 7 Future Gohan awakening medals, now is the time to get them. The best drop rate is from Level 4 HARD. NOT Z-HARD. You'll fight PHY Gohan, so you might want an STR team. This is also the event with really good support items like Future Bulma available.
These Piccolos follow the usual ordeal. You need to make an SA 5 and an SA 10 one and then have 14 awakening medals. And, as I said a long time ago, it isn't particularly worth using these to try to raise your LR Piccolo's SA. You can, but the Baba's Shop Piccolo is a 100% SA increase for the non-awakened INT Piccolo that becomes LR.
My team: All are INT and the cost is 72, leaving 28 for a friend.
Leader: King Vegeta SA15 for +3 ki
non-awakened SS Bardock SA1 for sealing supers and his passive gives him ki+3 when facing only 1 enemy
Goku with Gohan on shoulder SA10 for slight HP recovering, his passive gives him ki +2, and he hits pretty darn hard
Baseball Yamcha SA10 because he costs only 4 as a UR which is even cheaper than my favorite INT tank (Cell Saga Yamcha) and I can't have both on a team (though this one's passive will not be able to activate because you only fight 1 enemy in this strike) he also links with Namek Bulma and Goku, and his super attack can stun
Namek Bulma SA5 for stunning and linking with Yamcha
Supreme Kai SA4 for his +2 ki passive, his marginal benefit of +15% attack to characters coming after him on the same turn if he super attacks, and he links with Bulma and Yamcha
Friend: whoever is ki +3. King Vegeta is ideal, but given how many events are going on right now, you have to take what you can get. The Bebi Vegeta with the leader skill that nukes is also EXCELLENT and even better than any other lead I've tried.
Other notable units for this would be DB buttcheek Bulma for providing ki to Bulma and General Blue, Mecha Frieza as a leader (costs only 12 compared to King Vegeta's 18), General Blue for stunning, Android 16 for use as a 55% tank, Chilled for Super Strike links, the SS kid Trunks that turns into Gotenks for +2 ki passive, Supreme Kai for +2 ki passive, Tarble for +2 ki passive when hp is 50% or higher (links better than Supreme Kai), Cell Saga Yamcha for 30% tank, Sorbet for stunning, Babidi for stunning, Dr. Gero for 25% heal from his unfortunately weak super attack (mine hits at about 22k) and his ki links with Bulma... overall, there are a lot of great cards for this fun super strike.
Items: I highly recommend Senzu, Dende, Icarus, Lunch
The above team worked out great. King Vegeta hits around 50k. If you don't have SS Bardock, there are some other sealers you can choose from, or you can just choose a stunner as you should definitely have 2 on your team. The order to create is something like King Vegeta, SS Bardock, King Vegeta, Goku, Yamcha, Supreme Kai, Namek Bulma. Supreme Kai should hang around Yamcha and Bulma so he can link, but also so his passive gives them +2 ki. SS Bardock is wonderful for the team, mine only super attacks for 32k damage, but he seals every single time and because of his passive he always has at least 9 ki if you have two +3 ki leads. Yamcha works great and hits 40k+, Goku with Gohan on his shoulder works great and hits 48k+. It's a dependable, good team. You'll likely go through nearly every item if not every item.
Also, here's my old team and strategy with a similar team, but this one is rather weak hitting, so it's both underkill and overkill for this event. You don't need to stun Piccolo as much as you need to stun the various Gotenks forms. It will make the fight take longer since they don't hit as hard. Also, I believe the team above costs less as well since the UR Yamcha card is so inexpensive, so you have the opportunity to get a better friend. I don't know the cost of the team below since I don't have an SSR Gotenks anymore, but it's around 77 I think.
For the Skinny/Fat Gotenks events, I ended up refining my teams and strategy even more, for much faster and easier success.
items: dende, senzu, cargo, bulma with ponytail
Skinny Gotenks event: All INT team
Leader: King Vegeta for +3 ki (he hits harder than SS Gotenks) SSR level (not UR) SS Gotenks for +3 ki passive (but no particular links with anyone else) Tarble for fairly low cost and passive ki +2 for all team members when hp is over 50% General Blue for stunning DB buttcheek Bulma for ki links with General Blue and Namek Bulma Namek Bulma for stunning
Friend: anybody with +3 ki, so another SS Gotenks, King Vegeta, etc.
Strategy: Keep your hp over 50% so Tarble's +2 ki will continuously work. I recommend putting Tarble between both King Vegetas. Also, because of Tarble and SS Gotenks' passives, you can (and should) keep Namek Bulma near one of them (SS Gotenks is better) because you can separate General Blue and her and keep them on two different turns for a major benefit.... After multiple play throughs, I have decided that it isn't mere coincidence that Skinny Gotenks seems to ignore the 2 turn rule of stunning that General Blue and Namek Bulma have when their super attacks actually stun him. I used to think this issue was because buttcheek Bulma's super can have a 1 turn stun quality occasionally, but I've basically ruled that out now. Skinny Gotenks can and will ignore the 2nd turn stun it if he wants to super attack on the next turn, so having Namek Bulma on a different turn than General Blue can be a very good idea, because she can stun him on that turn and keep him from super attacking. So the order you might want would be: General Blue, buttcheek Bulma, King Vegeta, Tarble, King Vegeta, Namek Bulma, SS Gotenks and you can move Namek Bulma and SS Gotenks around to where ever you want. I've had a lot more success keeping Namek Bulma on another turn than on the same turn as her links. And because of SS Gotenks' passive, it'll be as if she is linked to buttcheek Bulma, so it's the same ki increase.

I updated my post above about my team for the Piccolo Super Strike. My team is fun and working fantastically. I love it.
I'm not even going to bother playing the Black event right now. Everybody on wikia, reddit, and Facebook say it's too hard, even with double Omega Shenron leads. No thanks. I'll wait until I have better cards in the future, because I don't have that card and I don't feel like wasting stones.
My goal is to finish making Super Strike Piccolo, get the 7 Future Gohan medals to awaken PHY Xeno Trunks if I ever receive him, and then gem farm so I can get another Baba's Shop Yamcha and all 5 of those old kai SA increases.
I'm also saving friend summon Tiens and awakening them (but not making them level 40) in case they have a 5% or 30% likelihood of increasing the future Super Strike Tien's SA. If they do, it would be so easy to just feed them to the AGI card without using training items and slowly build up some SA increases without playing the event a lot. I wish I was that smart when I got 3 INT R Piccolos from those 2 multisummons I did during the tournament. I could have fed those to this TEQ Piccolo for potential SA increase for sure.

Also Bran, to beat Goku Black, you just need to bring units that lower attack and seal his SA.
If you have TEQ Godtenks, Whis, Yamcha, Jackie Chun, Golden Freeza and Pikkon, you should be good. If you don't have some of those units, again, look for units you do have that lower attack or seal, or cards that give defense.

Alright guys, here's all you need to know about update 3.0.1 that's coming today.
The dupe system is here. You will need 4 dupes of a card to unlock all the paths to strengthen a character. Every day, different orb missions will be released. These orbs will be what you need to use to get through the dupe system.
The map movement WILL be faster and smoother.
There will now be a Baba item in the shop that lets you reverse dokkan a character. It is 30 story gems. You can also refresh your friends list when looking for friends to use.
When you reverse dokkan a card, that is when you feed it dupes for the dupe system. Re-dokkaning a card is free and costs zero medals and will remain the SA level that it was when you dokkaned it.
FOR THE DUPE SYSTEM, PRIORITIZE THESE PATHS IN THIS ORDER: BOTTOM RIGHT, TOP LEFT, TOP RIGHT, BOTTOM LEFT

The google play update yesterday worked just fine for me at 2:30 p.m.
I got the Future Gohan awakening medals and have an update. They must have fixed the drop rate on that level, because I did an entire stamina bar of Hard level 4 and didn't get a single one. But did 2 stamina bars of Z-hard and got the 7 I needed.
The drop rate of Super Strike Piccolo cards sucks. 3 or 4 stamina bars later and I'm only up to 11. Those extra dragon stones (from the unexpected maintenance) sure were good, but I may regret using them to do 2 single summons. I'm down to 7 and thanks to the crappy drop rate, I am recharging my stamina constantly.
These are my current goals/status: I'm not playing the Goku Black levels, because they seem way too hard and I don't even have the card. I have all 14 Piccolo medals, I have one at SA2 and one at SA9, and after I finish getting SA10 and SA5, I'm going to go gem farming unless the dupe system comes into play. I probably need to play Frieza 100% a few more times though... I only have 3 out of 10 medals needed to awaken 100% Frieza if I ever end up with that card. There's a lot of stuff going on in the game right now. It's hard to find the time to do it all.
As far as stone spending goes, you better spend all of your stones by Sunday, because that's the cut off for the ticket banner calculation, so start spending!
