Does anyone think the figure would have a cooler look if they gave him the semi-translucent hair, like the figurine? With the hair and face being separate pieces, I think it would work better just having the hair be like that. I like the look out it, and think it would give the figure a really cool effect and appearance. Anyone feel the same?
I'm probably gonna experiment and head cast the hair translucent with the figuarts we are getting.
If you do that, I'd be interested in getting a set of the hair.
I order from Anime Island since they're always cheapest there. They do charge shipping, but if you order multiple figures from them you save on money since the figure itself is cheaper. They also have a points system and you only have to pay 20% down instead of all upfront if you prefer.

Looks awesome but I'm not so sure, the hair looks kind of dark in these shots. The pictures I've seen from the movie makes his hair look a lot lighter blue but that could possibly be the aura throwing the color off.

The hair is definitely a more solid darker color than the movie. Same goes for the gi being red instead of orange but oh well, they won't change it now. I wish they could've added some lighter shading to go with the darker choice of color instead of going with one solid color throughout.
has anyone ever ordered from mhtoyshop? They're up for preorder already and I was wondering if anyone has ever had bad times with them?
MHToyShop is my new "go-to" spot. Best prices, Excellent customer service and they do a tremendous packing job (bubble wrap AND foam peanuts). I even inquired about the Avengers Figuarts and they were honest with me about not being able to lock in enough orders for them all...then afterwards, they e-mailed me a few hours before they put them up to let me know they'd be putting them up later in the evening so I'd have a chance at getting them. Best U.S. online store for Tamashii right now!
The ONLY downside, mostly due to being a "smaller" shop in comparison to giants like BBTS, is their lower stock quantities and in some cases, difficulty acquiring certain items. This was the case with the Avengers Figuarts and why they couldn't get Captain America and Hulk (Bluefin wouldn't offer the figures to them b/c Bluefin claimed they didn't know whether they'd be able to fulfill all their Stateside orders).
