a random question - how many Vegitos have you bought? 1 to display him in his normal form/SS form, or 2 to display his both forms? Bought two. At $40 literally no reason not to display both forms esp once I got the ssj hair to my liking. Thinking about buying a third for ssj.

gotenks, 6 lol. Two for display and the other four for the boot tips. Seeing as how they're not compatible with Vegeta feet pegs in pics, I've decided to just keep em mint and hold on to em for a while. Oh well

I got a Vegetto, today, and I have to say...I am disappointed. Zero shading on the blue just plain, and the orange on the chest isn't good at all. It looks like they should have put down another coat of orange, because you can still kinda see the blue through it a little. Same with the flesh paint on the collarbone area. The hands are different colours, with some being molded in plain white and others painted "white" so it's an off colour. The elbow joints are paler than the arms, and the left arm seems a little off center at where it connects to the shoulder compared to the right arm and my other figures. And, the very back of the SS hair is messy where it was cut from the mold. The energy effect is cool, though, and the faces look good.
Overall, this is kind of a "wtf?" figure for me. The quality seems to be a lot poorer than my other figures. Glad to have him, but disappointed.

It has potential, but unfortunately people have to paint it themselves to get it where it needs to be and that's crappy. Some Vegetto love with my two.

On your Vegetto it looks like you have a similar problem with the collar area not matching the skin tone of the neck, but the orange on yours looks better than mine.
I was excited for this figure, but next to all of my other figures he seems like a step down. I mean, even the Datong figures have more shading on the clothes than he does.

The only Datong figure with clothes shaded is Vegeta because his clothes are skin tight and it highlights muscle... just like the official ones. None of the gi clothing so far has been shaded besides I **think** maybe SDCC Gohan? I'm not even sure on him but I don't feel like digging through other figures to get him out of the display case... And with the neck thing: I didn't even notice until you brought that up. That's crazy.

I might be willing to buy one off you if the shipping price will be cheaper than BBTS' since i'm not going to have anything in my PoL for another month and I don't want to wait that long for my second Vegetto.

My Datong SS3 Goku has shading on his clothes, the normal Goku looks like is has a little on the legs, too. I wish this one had a little shading. I think the main problem is that the sash is blue, and having the paint be just plain flat blue runs together too much. Nothing to break up all that blue. A little shading could have just given more dimension and stopped it from seeming too plain. On the normal Goku, the belt does a nice job of breaking up all that orange.
The neck and collar area on mine are worse than yours. The blue is kinda showing through on his collarbone, because the paint is too thin. This makes it a different colour than the thicker paint on the rest of the collar area, but then the neck is different from the paint. So, it's like 3 different shades all there.

My Veggeto on Amazon still says "Not yet shipped Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date" Anyone else who ordered from Amazon having a similar problem still? And BBTS says "pre order" instead of "in stock" now. I'm thinking of cancelling Amazon and ordering from somewhere else. Any recommendations?

In going to put in a disclosure that the following is not arguing your opinion bc you're entitled to it and I respect it. I'm just posting this for the sake of conversation. - I wouldn't really take what KOs do into account here. I have the "privilege" of having gotten two Datong ssj and the shading looks more like uneven thickness of plastic than anything else as the non ruffled parts are so thin that they're transparent. - The Vegetto coloring is perfect... The belt is accurate and even in the cartoon it was same tone throughout... Is it more that you don't like his colors in general? - I wonder if shading would be noticeable on such a dark hue?

I like his colouring it's just...in figure form it doesn't quite do it for me. I think I prefer more the manga colours, in this instance. With his belt a lighter shade than the rest of the blue gi. Just to break up the blue. Although, even in the anime his belt is shown a different colour in some scenes. Eh... And, I'm not saying the Datongs are the best or better than the legit. Just that, sometimes, it seems like they can have little better touches. The two Gokus I have do have shading on the gi, though. I am 100% sure on the SS3 one, and pretty sure on the normal one. I don't know. The gloves and boots have shading, and the arms. It looks good. Then, the gi is just flat. Maybe I am being too picky and hoping for too much.

IMO, I feel like the lack of head shading, particularly on the ssj head really just highlights the lack of overall detail. It feels like an anime color release with the detailing of the manga variants which isn't something that's happened up until now. I don't think you were expecting too much since the previous anime releases are what built those with their consistency. My only deal with what you were saying was in terms of detailing on the GI where Bandai hadn't done that previously. It's been pretty consistently hair and skin tone. I guess I just feel that if the ssj hair was detailed as well as better shading to the skin, the outfit wouldn't be as much an issue.
