So I got another jakks raditz for really cheap and put that evil looking goku head on him, im a paint it to look like turles. this is going to be my first custom so any tips on painting will help. hope you guys like this comparison photo lol

Nice pic up i love that king cold figure one of the best sculpts by jakks IMO
What happened to bardocks head did u swap it out I could have sworn I painted a headban on him?

Boiling a custom painted figure is risky! Acrylic will bubble up pretty easily. I hope you used a hair dryer to heat the head to remove it!

Oh wow I didnt know that. thanks for the tip but I just boiled the water and then just dunked the head portion of the figure into the water and nothing bad happened but I'm a be sure to use a hair dryer next time just to be safe.

I'm most worried about the shoulder pads, because the paint on them could end up wrinkling just from the steam.
(I usually do the boiling method and risk it when I am removing an unpainted head from a painted body too, but if shiffty used clearcoat, definitely don't, because steam will permanently make it milky)
You could wrap the shoulders with a towel first before dipping it though, and that would help as long as you don't dip the towel in the water lol.

u should be ok sexy i dont use clear and the paint i used on him dosent ripple when put in water its a very durable paint which is y i dont use clear. now had i used delta on him u would have had some serious problems. also just so u know the head that was on that king bardock custom was an acual 10th ann bardock head
