SDCC isn't even until the end of July so you might as well not even waste your time looking for places to buy it yet.

After sleeping on it I actually think he looks pretty cool. Might pick him up if hes sold for retail after SDCC.

I had time to think about it. Even though I was disappointed at first. I'm going to buy this vegeta. I don't have a saiyan saga vegeta so I'll get this version instead. Plus. I remember how much I liked my jakks version despite the goofy head.

The more I look at it, the more I want to get it, but it's still a disappointment.

I still hate it and love it. I've already said why I hate it (aside from saying I really wanted a Cell Games or Main/Buu Saga Vegeta) so I'll just state why I love it. I used to have a Jakks Frieza's Revenge Vegeta and a Jakks Alien Invaders Vegeta and I loved setting them next to each other on my shelf, I thought they looked great together and it will be very cool to do that with the Figuarts versions.
This likely won't apply to many people but another reason I love it is because of the dark outfit. I can easily buy an extra and make some cool stuff with the parts (I only make Figuarts customs when I can find joints in the appropriate color, I don't like to modify or sand the joints, it's tough to do properly and I want my figures to last long). The SDCC Vegeta plus a Datong Vegeta torso/gloves/boots and I'll have an anime accurate Namek Vegeta...then I can take the SDCC Vegeta head (that is more red than brown for some strange reason), repaint it a little, and have a very nice and somewhat official SSGod head for Vegeta that I can then use with my first SS Vegeta. That has me pretty excited even if it isn't an official form for Vegeta. The dark suit might also make it easier for me to make an anime accurate Buu Saga Vegeta (I was already working on one but it has a light outfit to match the real Vegeta figures). I doubt I'll do that though. Maybe. I'm not sure. Caps said he was going to take pics of one next to his Zeem Arlian Oozaru Vegeta...that should be pretty cool to see...and...well, it just looks cool. Havok and some other people raised some great points as well, it's much better to have this version being scalped than a Cell Games or Majin Vegeta when both are already in high demand.

timone317 That sounds really cool man! I'm going to buy every version of Vegeta, EXCEPT Arlian Vegeta. I thought about SSJ God Vegeta as soon as I saw it, and it will look really neat on your custom if you try for it! Maybe they're make a Battle of Gods sequel, with Vegeta as the lead, and people regret getting not this. Not me though! I love his Namek look, so that will also be awesome! Tons of people want SSJ Vegeta, so they probably want him to be a regular release, so it's affordable for those who don't want to pay SDCC prices. I'm sure a lot of people aren't familiar with SDCC, so it would stink if they missed out on possibly the most iconic look for the character.

lol, man, some people love it, some hate it. I personally love it. The colors are gorgeous, it's like a rave-ready Vegeta, lol. This coloring was a mistake in the anime, or was it this color in the manga too? Or is it supposed to be the lighting of Arlia? Either way, I think it's cool since it's the first way you see Vegeta in the anime at least. For some people, that might have made a big impression. Not for me so much, I first saw Vegeta in the Namek saga, but I still really like this coloring. Definite buy for me.

The coloring wasn't a "mistake". Toei had gotten to Vegeta's debut in the anime and Toriyama had yet to color him in the manga, so they had to pick something. Usually when Toei does something like this, they stick with the color scheme. We're lucky they changed it.

It makes you wonder why they chose such an off the wall color scheme for a main character like that.

It's not really uncommon at all, even outside of Dragon Ball (and there are a LOT in Dragon Ball). Toei did it with Rei's hair (black in the manga, turquoise in the anime) and Raoh's hair (blond in the manga, black in the anime) in Fist of the North Star. Studio Pierrot changed Yu Yu Hakusho's Kurama from wearing a blue uniform and black hair in the manga to wearing a pink uniform with red hair in the anime. Just go ahead and read the Anime and Manga section here if you are interested: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AdaptationDyeJob

It makes you wonder why they chose such an off the wall color scheme for a main character like that. More like why Toriyama originally chose it. iami2eapei2 Reason I said they're pulling a Jakks on you guys is because they are. All of the previous SDCC repaints were anime versions that were needed to counter the manga version (Gohan and Piccolo) This Vegeta, though liked by some fans because of the colors, is not in the same boat as the previous exclusives. Jakks took an Irwin Nappa and their original Saiyan Saga Vegeta and repainted them into their Arlian armor colors because Jakks looked for any way they could to make new figures without making a new figure sculpt. At least the previous exclusives needed their repaints. Did Vegeta need this outfit? I believe not. Of course, on the other hand, what Jakks did right was that they at least put Nappa and Vegeta together. If people aren't disappointed in this Vegeta, they should be at least disappointed in it because he will probably NEVER have anyone to display with. And I wouldn't say he was the only repaint left....as I previously stated. SS3Goku and Cell needed a repaint MUCH MUCH more than Vegeta needed his Arlia armor, that was edited out anyway.
