I must have been lucky because my figures legs are nowhere near loose enough to have to worry about doing the old superglue trick on. I've got mine standing no problem without the stand.

I didn't have too much trouble getting him to stand, but I had him on a Tamashii stand and tried to pose his legs in a kicking motion, but they were so loose they would just droop down immediately with no resistance.

I think as long as it comes with the brown outer box you will be fine. BTW it looks like SSGoshin4 is having no luck lately with her Figuarts. Seems she has a few problems with her Saiyan Saga Vegeta too...

I read in another thread that if you put clear nail polish on the ball joint on his leg it holds it better? Did I read that right?lol You need to apply the nailpolish (or superglue) to the ball, then stick it in the socket and move the leg around for a while until it dries. The super glue method worked perfectly on my Vegeta. Here's a link to a thread Bran made with tips for customizing, and I posted pics of my Vegeta leg repair process. dragonballfigures.boards.net/thread/46/get-started-customizing-adviceBUT it can very easily ruin the entire leg...I wouldn't recommend super glue in any situation where you want to tighten articulation, it's just too risky. I wish I could hurry up and get the clear nail polish to verify whether it works or not...or I guess I could try some Model Masters flat clear that I received yesterday, maybe it will work. I'm under the impression that you need to put whatever you're using (nail polish, Pledge Future Shine ((I've read it works)), etc) onto the socket in the thigh that clicks on to the ball joint...it should work perfectly, I don't see why people haven't taken the suggestion seriously and tried it already. It's good enough to protect nails, surely it can make a thin layer that will help the ball hold the leg.

Definitely stay away from superglue if you can. Especially if you don't know exactly what you are doing. Not only can it leave residue but if you don't keep that joint moving long enough you will have one glued leg.

Yeah the super glue method is risky. I was super paranoid that I would ruin Vegeta, but it was actually a very easy process and I had no problems with his legs sticking after the glue was applied. You just have to sit there and move the leg around for at least 5 minutes without stopping so the glue dries without sticking completely.

I think as long as it comes with the brown outer box you will be fine. Nah man, mine came from Amazon with the outer brown box and straight out of the box, his shoulder flap fell off and the legs popped off within minutes. Brown box means it has been more protected during it's time in whatever warehouse, but certainly does not mean it's a non-defective figure.

Is it only one leg giving you trouble getting him to stand or both Gohan?

I've heard most people complain about just one leg, but on mine both of them were super loose so he would do the splits when trying to stand him on really smooth surfaces like the base of the Tamashii stand.

That sucks Boddah. Only the right leg on mine is slightly loose. It's a shame because this is actually a really good looking figure and of the best detailed ones of the series.

Mine can't stand for shizzle unless its at a certain angle, if it isn't it just does a split.
