Mine really isn't all that bad actually. He can stand by himself without using the base and the alternate head with the scouter fits ok without being overly loose.

Haven't tried mounting the scouter on mine yet, I'm too worried it may go awol. As for the leg problem, he does stand on his own - but he isn't exacty staunch. The smallest bump or movement he goes down like a sack of potatoes!

My Trunks is like that when not using a stand. My Normal Vegeta actually stands better than Trunks. Plus it took a little fiddling but my scouter is on securely.

Please forgive me if this has been answered before but, is there a way to tell which figures have the bad joints on them? Like a sticker or is it just luck of the draw?

I always use stands with my Figuarts because the shelf I have them on isn't smooth and it scratch paint easily, but what really bums me out is that you can't even lift Vegeta's leg up in a kicking pose without it immediately sagging back down to standing position. The legs do get a bit tighter if positioned certain ways, but it's not much better. On the plus side, I love the effect parts that come with Vegeta, and that he comes with a Stage Act stand.

Mine came in the outer box and the left leg fell off within 10 minutes of handling the figure... and the right leg feels like it could pop off with just a tiny bit of pressure. So far, I don't recall anyone saying that they bought a completely non-defective Vegeta. I think they are all defective, but some more than others.

The problems I've heard have been the neck joint, left and/or right leg joint/s, shoulder and/or hip armor flaps, and finally the scouter area problem. Mine has only one leg issue, and the scouter problem. Although the leg alone doesn't let me pose vegeta without the stand.

The only defects that mine doesn't seem to have a problem with is the scouter and the waist flaps. Trying to get the scouter head on the neck joint was the biggest hassle, the hole in the head where the ball joint goes in is too small. I can get the actual scouter to stay on as long as I push the face part into the head as much as possible.

Mine does not stay at all, with little movement it'll fall down. When it's on it's sitting there by its own weight or something. Ah well, nice figure and all but the QC ruined it. Reason why it isn't in my top 3.

I also was able to get the scouter to stay on... It's a very defective figuarts overall.

It seems that the last few Figuarts are being plagued with QC issues which is a real shame. Still better than Hybrid figures though

The Vegeta figure may have some problems but I wouldn't call it "crap" lol Can't believe I missed this post first time around.
